The 2 point try from the Vikings has been THE sports talk today. That play has been analyzed 1000's of times now, there has been MUCH wailing and gnashing of teeth, discussion of referees, replay...
And, of course, that should've been a penalty against DallAss. It reminded me somewhat of the play vs the Cards where ARod got hit on the facemask and it wasn't called.
What nobody is talking about is the Vikes LT moved early on that play. He is starting his set while the other OL are still in their stance. He's just about got a full step head start.
Here's a couple of pretty good views:

Yup, LT should have been called as well as the hit to the head (yes, one doesn't happen if the first had been called). But watch Bradford on that play. He sees his receiver, knows that's where he's going, and then totally takes his eyes off the receiver when the DL player was coming through to crush him, and he totally short-arms the throw causing that ball to sail away. If he stays focused and follows through either that receiver has a chance (he was double covered) or I think he gets the call (it always looks better when the QB's arm is caught up in the D guy). Vikes fans should blame their OL and OL coach for making their QB so gun shy.

And before they complain they should look at the facemask on Rodgers against the Cards.

I noticed that LT right away too and thought they got away with one.  On second look you might see how in real time it looked like the LT moved at the same instant the ball was snapped, and then the rest of the OL moved.  That wouldn't technically be a penalty if the ref was trusting his eyes though we have all seen false starts called in that situation.  Regardless, when slowing it down to frame by frame, the LT's back foot does move before the snap.

I noticed the Vikings lost. And suck.

Spielman needs to take an OL in round 1 to protect Sam.

Oh wait.... he doesn't have a round 1 pick. He traded it away for the guy he can't keep upright.

It writes itself with Minny.

Which means he has to go all in and find one in free agency. You can't win in the NFL without a competent left tackle. Here's what's available as of right now in the offseason.

It should have been a two point attempt from the 12.

The two point attempt never happens if Dick Prescott doesn't slide before the first down and then fumble the snap on 3rd and 1.

Dick Presotts brain fart doesn't matter if Thielen catches a punt.

Normally Thursday night games suck because of the short week. Both teams had a week to prepare. This was pretty much a **** show from the start. And I found the play and the outcome positively perfect.

While Treadwell continues to get nothing accomplished Jason Spriggs is learning how to play guard. Might have been a good selection for Minny

Rick has free wheeled his way to 9 first round picks over the last 5 years. His team sucks. He has no first rounder next year.

I hope Rick gets a nice extension.

Its also important to note the Vikings have never won a Super Bowl.

They, on paper anyway, had a fair amount of depth at tackle coming in, but Kalil and Smith got hurt, Loadholdt never made it back and Clemmings continues to look extremely raw as well as being flip-flopped from side-to-side repeatedly. They've also had injuries inside, where they have little depth. This is just the Football Gods reminding them they're the Vikings.

They'll re-sign Kalil, they don't have much choice, pray for fewer injuries and draft a couple of interior guys.

Watch it here, SD. You can see the ball is long gone before Bradford gets hit. The ref probably thought Bradford was cringing in anticipation of getting hit again.

But the LT's foot clearly moves back before the snap.

I still see the inside of Bradford's right bicep get moved outward instead of a normal follow through motion...look at the D-Lineman's left elbow right before he hits Bradford in the helmet.  His elbow pushes Bradford's right arm outward......also, at the end of the throw, Bradford's right hand hits the D-Lineman's helmet and doesn't go through all the way.   So, I don't think Bradford got a proper follow through.

If you look at the replay from the other angle you can see the infringement on the follow-through better.

All that being said....it was still a crappy pass.
