Very sad situation with Everson Griffen now. He is paranoid someone is trying to kill him and the Vikings have asked him to get mental health treatment and banned him. Despite despising the Vikings, this is a sad situation for anyone. Link to story.

(Mods: I didn't see this anywhere else, but if it is feel free to delete.)

It's a sad situation, but Goalline's reply did make me laugh.

I remember Alonzo Spellman of the Bears was a little bit like this as well, was diagnosed Bi-Polar.  Not sure if Griffin has the same thing, but it's sad stuff that can really make that person's life miserable and those around them miserable.

There is no way paranoia can be bad for football players. Just let him play.

Was that the opposite of what you were going to say, or was that just instinct?

Glad you posted this here instead of the queens suck thread, kudos to you. As much as I dislike the queens I would never wish this kind of illness on anyone. My wife suffered severe mental illness until she eventually pulled the plug. I hope he can get right and live a productive life.

So sorry, DD. That’s rough.

I hope Griffen gets better as well. In college he had an alcohol problem it sounds like, so this might have been going on for quite a long time. Hopefully he gets the help he needs.

Same DD, that sucks.

Abuse alcohol to self medicate, pretty standard stuff.  Hopefully some treatment and being able to focus on football will get him moving forward.
