Crazy-eyed Mark shuts Zygi down:

Dayton: Vikings special session 'doubtful'
Posted by: Rachel E. Stassen-Berger under Gov. Mark Dayton Updated: November 15, 2011 - 12:24 PM

Gov. Mark Dayton, who had been pushing for the Legislature to decide on the Minnesota Vikings stadium issue this year, now says that does not look likely.

"I'm doubtful that there will be a special session at this point," Dayton said.

The governor said he is meeting Tuesday with Ramsey County Commissioners, including Commissioner Tony Bennett. Bennett has been the chief Ramsey County cheerleader for moving the Minnesota Vikings to Arden Hills, the teams preferred future home. He will also meet separately with officials from Arden Hills.

Despite those continued meetings, the governor said it does not appear that the deal will be all sewn up soon.

"I don't believe we are going to get to a point of being able to have a specific proposal or two specific proposals," if Minneapolis also has a proposal to keep the Vikings in that city, Dayton said

Reviewing my timeline. For everyone who said "Way to outkick your coverage", I would like you to take a deep breath, preferably underwater.

Some posts from a queen named ediggy { coincidence ? }

right now...green bay is CLEARLY a better all-around team than the pats. and it kills me to say that.

the packers also have the guys in black n white stripes clearly on their side...seriously...woodson should be arrested for mugging.

except for the '09 saints weren't the best team in the league...we were. refs and luck assisted the saints...the packers are just better than the teams they are playing right now...and it pizzes me off.

you can't name a team that has better odds of winning the championship than the f-cking packers. obviously it is difficult for ANY team to repeat, but it has nothing to do with the recent past...there are all kinds of quirky reasons that prevent it. but the packers are clearly the best team in the league right now...and that sucks.

As I recall that game, the Saints had far more penalties than the Queens. In fact, I don't think the Queens received a single penalty before the "12 men in the huddle" call that preceded Favre's signature season-ending INT. The refs gave the Queens plenty of gifts that day. The problem is that you can't cash in on those gifts when you turn the ball over FIVE TIMES. **** the Queens and their douchenozzle fans.
This is too funny to pass up !

And the hillbilly feels the same way

"Just disgusted," Allen said. "I mean 45-7, are you kidding me? I haven't lost this bad since I don't know when. I don't know. We've got some issues; we've got to get cleaned up. We've got to play better. They throttled us out here today."

just another reason why they suck...

Tom Powers of the St. Paul Pioneer Press after the Vikings' 27-21 loss to the Oakland Raiders:
"It would be really nice if someone got fired this week. It doesn't matter who, just as long as somebody's head is spotted rolling along Vikings Drive in Eden Prairie. That would at least serve as an acknowledgement that things aren't quite as they should be with the team. Call it a feel-good gesture. Plus, it would demonstrate that someone really is in charge of the Vikings and that someone really is paying attention."

just fire someone so I feel better. great strategy.

Out of that, they probably would draft one guy with stone hands, one left tackle who can't block, and five guys with questionable character "because we feel they've matured." Either that or they would trade all the picks for Tebow... Big Grin

The Vikes were sure sold a bill of goods when their front office and coach thought they were only a McNabb away from contending for the division crown. I told my Vikes diehard fan friend at work last year that they should blow up that team and start over, but his response was that they were only one or two guys away.
Reality is finally setting in for some of them, I think. When they signed McNabb I thought it was a good move in order not to ruin their rookie signal caller not because they would win with him. Plastic Paul Allen was on the other day talking about the offense he came out and said "we're only 4 or 5 guys away from being a great team". of course that's failing to differentiate that they were only talking about the offense and not the whole team.

I live in MN and heard the same things. You would have thought Ponder was Bert, Johnny U., and Fran all rolled into one. What they actually have is a rookie QB who appears like he could be pretty good, but I don't think he'll ever be an elite QB.

On the radio, Barriero had it nailed when he was assessing the Vikings' roster and could name only five guys he wouldn't trade: AP, Ponder, Harvin, Allen and Kluwe. That was far more realistic than most...

On another note, commentators are starting to note that the rookie QBs are finally coming back to earth and we're seeing more interceptions now. Newton, Gabbert, Ponder, Dalton, et al, now have more film on them and D coordinators are adjusting. Ponder especially has been schooled over the past two weeks.

Have to wonder if Aaron’s injury might be more serious than the Queens want to admit. Last years hamstring injury, where Jones insisted it wasn’t a big deal and made it sound like he’d return in a week, lasted way longer than that as we all know.

This is another “hip” hamstring for Jones. Hmmmâ€Ķ

Aaron Jones already won the equivalent of his Super Bowl this year when he got to play the Packers and win in Lambeau Field.

He was very unlikely to make it through the season and it's exactly why the Packers moved on. Aaron Jones is a better overall back than Josh Jacobs, but Jacobs is still a very good back and he was always likely to be available for more games than Jones.

If the Haf-fense was fully baked, we beat them.

They spotted the sperm heads 28-0 in first half & came back on that "vaunted" defense to lose by 2. In the 2nd half I saw Jordan Love making Flores crazy.

The Pack will get em back. Pack & Lions already showed how to beat them. Hafley will be ready the next time they play & Darnold will find himself on his ass plus throw the Pack at least 2 INT's.

1 game at a time. Jacksonville first ðŸŦĄ
