I see more and more clips that are from video cameras aimed at someone's TV. Do people really sit there and shoot an entire game hoping something weird will happen?

In terms of how the Ref called it, 69 actually translates into "stick party".

Umm yep. Notice how jumpy it is and how far away it sounds.

I think Max Headroom was trying to make the point that people are DVRing the games, and then pointing a video camera at the TV for the part where something weird happens. They're not shooting the entire game.

So the point is that the ref's accent, and his dropping the "L" sound, makes the word "flag" sound like another word? I can understand that a thirteen-year-old might find that funny, but I'm not sure why an adult would care.
