He genuinely looked good in preseason. Can give Perry and Matthews some breathers.
Good. Maybe he will put some teeth back into the defense.
Learned his lesson and is ready to kick ass. Maybe, but I can actually see him make a difference.

Always good to have healthy rotation but I wish he played ILB.
MD Jennings should be released after that game. Not sure if he would have made the Green Bay East football team with the way he played. How in the heck did he ever make that Packers?
Hope Walden can protect the edge & shut down the runs to the outside of the line, Gore averaged 12 yds a carry running outside for a total of 72 yards!!!
most of that outside yardage was once again on the ILBs.
I watched Matthews on a handful of those outside runs burst up field and take out BOTH pulling Olinemen - but no fill to make the tackle behind him. turrble.

I saw the same thing with Matthews. This guy is an incredible football player and does stuff on the field (Like that) that rarely gets recognized.

That was absolutely astounding to see Matthews just shoot up in there to disrupt plays and it looked like everyone behind him was running in quicksand and couldn't finish the play. Matthews deserves better in terms of having some help, he is an amazing player.
If we had drafted Casey Matthews to play ILB, none of this would be happening!

Walden quietly had a very good preseason. Having him back won't hurt one bit.
As long as he plans on staying home during the break between the 2nd and 3rd game he should be fine.
Reminds me of bringing in Oglethorp in Slapshot.
