Time to stanch the bleeding.

Here we go. Got to get back to 3 games above.
Canha comes into the game batting .213.
Thats 5th best in tonightβs line up.
The Milwaukee Mendozas.

Tonight could be the night Adames goes underwater.
Nice job working the pitch count vs Heaney so far. 65 pitches in the 3rd. All the hits this inning have been nice too. 3-0 good guys.
Of course, when the Brewers score early, Woodruff gives it right back in the 4th.
Adames with 2 hits as does Yelich. Better news is Cubs lost to the Royals 4-3 while the Reds beat the Blue Jays 1-0.
Santana has been a solid addition. I wish he was 10 years younger and the Brewers signed him for about 5 years. Great defensive 1B.
Chafin can't even give Williams the night off starting with a 5 run lead.
If the Rangers complete this comeback, this would be a game that would haunt the Brewers the rest of the year.
Thank you Monesterio.
Thank you Sal.
Oh that was painful.
Brewers hang on to win 9-8 as Seager flies out to deep center (408 feet).
That's the only place in that park where that's not a HR. Chafin has had some real bad outings and if you can't put him in with a 5 run lead when can you trust him?
Tellez back in the line up today. Toro sent to Nashville. Remember the game is on FOX Sports today. 3:00 AMF time.
Is it any wonder Santana hit a homer on this pitch? He probably should have cleared the park with this pitch.
I think he handled it pretty good considering it was 6 inches out of the strike zone. Santana has been a nice addition.
They usually show movies on long flights like that.
The guy in the white t-shirt who attempts to catch the homer=butterfingers

I didn't think it was that high. But the ball had zero movement on it. Like hitting in the home run derby.
Fastball Freddie has become strike out Freddie.
Laboring in the 3rd inning now. Even with all those Ks he had a low pitch count. Not anymore, he's at about 35 this inning and counting.
Man we need good Willy to stick around a while.
Who is that wearing #27?
Up until two days ago it was Mario Mendoza.
Newbies and rookies doing their jobs!!!
Payamps with the zero inch vertical jump on that one!
18 strike outs!!!!!
15 hits is even more remarkable. I think that's 29 hits in 2 games after getting 10 in 3 games in LA.
Megill's fastballs in the 9th: 100.8 mph, 100.6, 100.1, 100.0, 99.6, 98.5, 98.2,
Uribe threw one fastball at 99.9
Shoot, just found the Crew on tv......saw them win though. β₯οΈ π π
Going at least 5-4 on this road trip is O.K. I wish they had beat the Dodgers at least once but it is what it is. And a 6-3 trip is still possible.

Adames has 7 hits in 9 at-bats in the last two games.
He had 7 hits in his previous 45 bats over the previous 12 games he played.
The Brewer really have some bigtime arms in the bullpen.
Chafin is really the only guy struggling. I don't think the Brewers are really counting on him much but last night was terrible putting a game like that in doubt.
I read where Mitchell might make it back next month.

Raised his average 12 points. He even hit balls to RF. They've been chewing him up with those low and away sliders.

They face Scherzer tomorrow and he's been locked in recently.
Over the last 4 starts, he's pitched 27 innings and given up 5 total runs and struck out 33.
Houser vs. Scherzer is not a matchup you expect to win.
It's pretty hard to square up a pitch that high. He's been a difference maker with 6 HRs already.
When the Brewer faced Scherzer earlier this year didn't they hit 3 consecutive HRs off him?
Looking to the future the only other division leader they play is the Twinkies at home Tuesday and Wed. After that the schedule looks good. No more West Coast trips. 3 with Padres at home, 3 game road trip to Cubs, back home for 3 with the Phillies. Then a 3 games at Pirates and 3 at Yankees (They suck). Back home 4 with Marlins and 3 with Nats. Final road trip with 4 at Cards and 3 at Marlins. Back home to end the season with 3 each the Cards and Cubs. And onto the PLAYOFFS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
