I had a lot of grinders in high school. Ruined a lot of jeans.

I need to find a rhythm with Garza.

 

It's almost as though whether or not I watch has no effect on the game at all. 

Garza pitched great to get out of a bases loaded no outs jam in the second. Pitched like crap in the 3rd. 

Mark it down..... Garza will be a stud when it matters. Guy is an effin bulldog.

Garza appears to be a bit of a hothead, and he seems to lose focus rather often.
Yo, Lohse, and Peralta should be pitching the first 3 of a playoff series if they make it.

The Gomez on base  streak is over.

Disagree. It's just my opinion, but don't set your potential playoff SR off of this year....Garza has the track record that shows he can not only pitch you to the post season, but also be a dominant force in it. See his AL CCSMVP. Guy's a stud.

Disagree. I want the best three starting the first three. If Garza is one of them by the end of the year, so be it. He hssn't been up to this point.

Disagree (effin with you)..... I like Peralta a ton, but as long as Garza pitches somewhat well (I actually think his latest starts have been comparable if not better than Peralta's), I want that experience in there come a potential playoff series. If Peralta's and Garza's starts continue to be similar, I see no way Garza's not your #3 over Peralta.

Sure wish Braun could start to see the ball better.  He looked bad his first 2 AB's last night.  The second with runners on he whiffed as bad as hntr looking for a date to prom.

Club seems to have left their bats out west along with their 'rappers and wranglers' outfits. Not going to get any easier today against Strasburg...

16 innings last night using 7 pitchers.

 

How much longer can they keep Wang on the roster? It hasn't hurt them much yet, but with a day game coming today after the game last night, they need some quality innings from Estrada.

Marco vs. Strasburg seemed like it was going to be a sure sweep. Nice outing for Marco going 6.1(2 ER and no taters !!) with the reserves pounding Strasburg.

Funny bit by the Nats playing the Cardinals "obey the rules" card with Go-Go's hard slide in the 8th after HBP. Is there anyone on the planet that didn't think Gomey was going to go hard on that slide?

 

Glad to see nothing came of it, but that hard slide was 99.999999% predictable. The Nats TV announcers even said so right before the inning ending DP.
