“Definitely I’ll watch the games,” said defensive lineman Howard Green. “I’m a fan of football and I love to watch games.

“It’s just a manly thing to do. Sit down and watch football. We very seldom get a chance to do that so I’m going to take advantage of that.”

Ah, come on, guys. Many of us ladies like watching football, too. You know, the thrill of competition, the unexpected turns of events, do-or-die decisions, winners and losers -- it has all the elements of great drama. It surprises me more when people -- men or women -- don't like sitting down and watching football. Good beer, good snacks, and a great game are the elements of an almost perfect weekend.
I'm the youngest of six. Oldest is my brother, 4 girls between us.

All of our family would sit and watch the Packers growing up. Now that we are all old adults, we still talk football and when we are together watch the Packers and Badgers. My sisters know football. The kicker is my mom at 91 years old watches all sports. When I call her, we always talk Packers, Badgers, Brewers. She doesn't watch the NBA or Hockey...ha.

So, from my viewpoint, the ladies do like to watch football and are very knowledgeable. Of course, they are former Wisconsinites so they can't be compared to others.
