So lets look ahead.  Detoilet hosts Giants. Detoilet should win.

Dallas plays at Washington in an early game Sunday. I can see Dallas completely falling apart after last week if Washington gets a 10 point+ lead. Dez might just strangle Romo on the sidelines if he throws a pick.

Packers play a late game at home vs. Steelers. With or without Rodgers I think we can win. Especially if Cobb is back albeit limited.

So that sets up Sunday night.  Chitcago at Philly.  Philly will know it can clinch the East with a win.  Bores will know they need a win to stay ahead of the Packers.

Who benefits more from knowing the outcome of Sundays afternoon games, Philly or Chitcago?

Wins by DAL, DET and GB would make the Sunday Night game meaningless for both teams, beyond seeding implications. Oddly enough, the exact opposite of what NBC wants when it flexes games.

Chip has already said he's playing to win regardless, but you could forgive both teams if they went with a heavy dose of RB2 for the night in that scenario.

IL Pack Fan - I don't think your post is completely accurate.  A Lions' win means the Bears have a meaningful game against the Eagles.

If Detroit wins, they're 8-7 with a chance to go to 9-7 with a win in Week 17.  If the Packers beat Pittsburgh, they'd be 8-6-1.  Suppose they lost then to the Bears (blasphemy!) the following week, they would end at 8-7-1...behind Detroit.

The Bears are sitting at 8-6.  If they lost to the Eagles, but won in Week #17, they'd also be 9-7, same as Detroit.  But Detroit has the head-to-head tie breaker.  So they'd win division at 9-7 over the Bears.

Therefore, the Bears games has meaning if the Lions win earlier in the day.

The perfect scenario for this Packer fan is for Dallas to lose to the 'skins and Detroit beat the Giants.
