Tonight's the night as my Saints are at the Dome Sweet Dome against the elite Aaron Rodgers and the red-hot Packers.  My Saints have struggled mightily so far this season, so they need a reversal of fortune tonight.  The rest of the NFC South all have lost today, so it's time to come out and handle our business tonight.  I envision a good old fashioned shootout, per our last couple of meetings, and offensive stats galore for both teams.

My prediction:

SAINTS 41

PACKERS 38

in OT

Normally, I'd be worried about (1)playing the Saints and (2)at home. But not this year.

Both teams match up fairly well; all offense and suspect defenses, but I've got to give the upper hand to the Packers. Our defense is playing fairly well recently and I don't know that your OL can hold up. Plus, you have too many injuries at key positions.

If our OL hold up just enough to give ARod time, we should be able to move the ball through the air. A good running game by either team could make a difference, too.

@jasonjwilde: #Packers have declared S Morgan Burnett and CB Sam Shields OUT for tonight's game vs. #Saints.

@jasonjwilde: #Packers inactives:
QB Scott Tolzien
CB Sam Shields
S Morgan Burnett
LB Carl Bradford
C Garth Gerhart
WR Jeff Janis
DE Datone Jones

Rookie CB Demitri Goodson active for the first time.

That's why it's gotta be all about OLBs flying around applying pressure.  It they try to get conservative that highway down the middle will be busy all night.

I also interject this as a thought.  Peppers in the middle on pass plays.  He has enough athleticism to cover for short periods and height alone could shut down passing lanes.

I have been in New Orleans the past couple of days.  Of course I use my Packer coat - today was especially chilly.  As if I had anything to do with it, People have been thanking me for the win against the Packers.  I have been on vacation this past week.  It has been really wild in the French Quarter the past couple of nights with Halloween parades.  I saw the aftermath this morning - major clean up job.  For me life returns to "normal" on Tuesday.
