It's become unwatchable. I used to look so forward to this. Goodell (the worst commissioner in the history of sports) and ESPN has used the popularity of the draft to so overkill it, it will lose it's popularity. I have talked to a lot of draftniks who say the same.

I am a draft freak….and I will very occassionally turn on the coverage…..but not for long…For me, one of the grandest things about the advent of this internet thingie…is following the draft on it….every thing about the draft is fun…except the televised part of it.
It's a difficult format to make 'exciting' as it is, but when the picks come in faster than what they can keep up with, it becomes a total clusterf**k.
There's too much analysis before the draft, and by the time it gets here, all conversation is superfluous. Add in the myriad of graphics and crawlers, and it is
They should have these guys do a draft review and call it good:
Well, they are competing this weekend with derby, fight, NBA, NHL, MLB and who knows what else, seems to me they are doing pretty well. I have not watched since Thursday nite, I too prefer the net.
I actually think the NLF.com live stream has been prety good. They're actually talking about all the picks as they come in. Even still, in the 6th round. Note this is not the same as the NFL Network broadcast.
I haven't watched since Thursday, and I had it on mute for at least 90% of the broadcast. Most of it is just painful to watch.
I only have the ESPN draft version and it was bad, It skipped Packers Picks (and most other teams) and talked non stop about the Cowboys and Jets. In short it was to long and feature the Cowgirls too much. I turned it off after a while. I wish they would go back to the 2 day format.

I nominate Bud Selig. He makes Goodell look good.
Get used to it boys & girls....the draft ain't changing. It was quite the spectacle being there live & a very good live event. Interesting the live stream was better. I believe that.... especially if they showed you selection square (where I was sitting).
I've been going to every draft since 2007. This draft was far & away better than anything I experienced at Radio City Music Hall.
Sounds like they have a lot of kinks to work out for the TV broadcast. I'm sure the complaints will come in & they will work on that for next year but the live event was spectacular. Supposedly 250,000 people came thru the "turnstiles" at Draft City.
The auditorium was very small for days 1 & 2 but it wasn't terrible live, although I didn't like how we were 3 picks "behind" when the live announcement of the selection occurred.
Day 3 was fantastic live. Most notably the VIP section with free food & beer. Not just catered food. This food is from Masterchef's very own Graham Elliott & I got to meet Chef Graham. Another check-box for the bucket list.
Hopefully we found a couple players this year. I really like Damarious Randall & Ty Montgomery. Let's see how it pans out.
I think being at the venue would be fantastic….sort of like baseball---you can't beat fun at the old ball park…but I listen to more baseball games on radio than watch on TV….a great thing, but the translation to the tube is not so good.
