So we subscribed to MLB TV so we could watch the Brewers on ROKU.  Tuned into the game Friday night and the game was blacked out. Thought maybe it was on ESPN so that was the blackout reason. After calling MLBTV today found out that all Brewer games are blacked out for me due to my zipcode.  We live on the extreme west side of WI so how can that be "local market"?  What afucking joke.  That sure is hell not what they advertise. Watch all MLB games is what they say. What bullshit.  Getting my money back.  Wouldn't it be easier and more profitable to just let us watch the games?

Yep.

Source of frustration for me in Florida (they said I was in the Marlins market 300 miles away) so games vs Brewers were blacked out...like I got Miami tv?

Now, I’m in Utah in BOTH the Diamondbacks and Rockies home markets so games against them are blacked out.

Shitty policy, but  the only way I get games....I also have SiriusXM, so I can walk and listen.

Aren’t all Brewers games on tv in Sconnie?

XM has some different tiers of programming and the one I have with MLB is nominally more...also, got a pretty deep renewal discount this year just for mentioning I was thinking of canceling...got a big ass monthly discount from $150 to $75 on Direct tv (had to commit to two more years, but buyout is only $300). Good time to invoke Corona virus discounts. Also cut Comcast bill by $50/mo.

XM didn't want me to cancel on our van, so they cut the price to 60 bucks for year and included the app (and I can run XM on our echo's).  Must not be the package with MLB though since I could not get the game

Especially this year with no fans.  What's the point?

Makes zero fucking sense so I guess that's why it's a thing. If I were a TV  advertiser for MLB I'd be all up in their shit about this nonsense.

I was trying to watch the Bucks vs. Kings on California Sports TV -- Blacked out on YoutubeTV. It's a Fucking SCRIMMAGE game not even the start of the regular season. That's why God invented "illegal" streaming. Dicks!

SiriusXM -- Got every channel including Howard Stern for $99 for the year. All you have to do is call up & ask for All Access for $99 for the year. They'll credit what's left on your current package & give it to you. Just ask. Then you'll have MLB, Nascar & NFL. On a side note, Sonos One speakers streaming Sirius (or any of your favorite apps) is outstanding!

Cancelled DirecTV end of May - Done dealing with these so called "discounts" then having to call up everytime they expire to continue receiving my "discount" 25 year customer, I'm gone. FYI....DTV went from 25 million subs in June 2019 down to 18 million in June 2020. 30% decrease in subs is shocking. Been streaming for 2 months & haven't looked back. Best thing is zero equipment to deal with these companies. YoutubeTV has unlimited cloud DVR. Programs stay there for 9 months. I stream with an nVidia Shield. It's 4k & blistering fast AC wireless. Zero problems plus if I travel, my YoutubeTV gets the locals where ever I'm located via GPS. As long as I check in once every 90 days to my "home" area. No problem. DTV used to be the best, now....less so.

I would encourage everyone to stream. @ammo - YoutubeTV is wayy better than Hulu for a couple dollars more. Compare them both to see what works best for you

How are you two previous posters going to watch Packer games on Sundays? I’ve kept Directv in our Florida abode so I can stream Sunday Ticket to my tv in Utah. Also, I do dig the Redzone channel.
