Woodson, meanwhile, got tangled with Thomas, who wound up pinning Woodson to the ground after a running play in the fourth quarter. Thomas was at the receiving end of a Woodson punch last year in the season opener and may have been exacting revenge.

It took several players to calm Woodson down, and after the game he refused to talk to reporters, something he almost never does.

"I saw him down," cornerback Tramon Williams said. "I didn't see what happened. I just knew he was mad. You don't see him mad like that too many times. He usually keeps everybody together. Whatever happened, somebody must have done something." jsonline

In Sunday’s game at Lambeau Field, Woodson again took exception to Thomas’ blocking tactics. On the first play of a Saints’ fourth-quarter possession, Thomas cut-blocked Woodson on a 9-yard gain by running back Darren Sproles. greenbaypressgazette
Frustrations playing out. We have been totally robbed by the refs, and I think Woodson perhaps saw another game slipping away just as he sees his career on the downside. There's only so many years left to him, and to have the refs not call the fumble or the pass interference in the end zone, and then allow the catch by Graham, well, I was ready to explode myself. Woodson does have to keep it together, but it's okay for some of the other guys to learn to step up as well.
I liked it myself, sometimes a fire is good especially on defense. JMO.

Also, I like that Hawk is starting to get a little nasty ... he needs to keep it up because I've seen more than 1 opponent player looking at him like "WTF is his problem, he doesn't normally act like that", thats good IMO.

Also. luv the way CMIII treats opposing QB's, not dirty or anything, just like the way he throws them off of him or away from him after a sack ... doesn't sit there and kiss their arse on someone like Brees, thats good IMO.

If you are gonna have a good defense, they have to have some attitude/energy/juice ... Reggie White/WayneSimmons-ish.

The Minister of Defense respected the offense but he did not cohort with the offense on the field, I liked that from that guy. He was the best IMO. I see a lot of that in CMIII and Woodson.
don't mind players getting riled up like that usually. but when he started pushing his teammates and prolonged it I think he took it a little too far.

shows quite a bit of resolve if the other guys can see their captain act like that and still pull through. I was very proud of the way the defense played on that final Saints drive. Take away an amazing catch and throw on 4th & 2 and they Packers pretty much dominated them on that drive.
