With the first round on tap for tonight, what will the Packers do with their pick at slot number 28 ?

TT has stayed with his first round pick ( Rodgers, Hawk, Harrell, Raji)

TT has traded back into the second round ( Jordy Nelson)

TT has traded from the 2nd round, back into the first round. ( Matthews)

But I don't believe he has traded up higher with his first rounder ( yet)

I think TT stays at 28. I think it's Shea or Nick Perry. But I have to be honest. After a week of pouring through mock up's of mock up's I'm an effing babbling mess. Shea Ingram, Courtney Whitney, Dontari Coples, Chandler Fleener, Mercilus Mayock.... everything's starting to blend together.

I'm now of the opinion NOTHING about tonight is going to go like the guru's have projected. I think the over/under on teams moving up or down is going to be around 8 and it's going to get chaotic.

So screw it, I'm going to get pretty deep into a bottle of Makers Mark and see how it plays out. When the smoke clears on Sunday I'm going to trust that TT has selected upgrades for Wynn, Walden, Wilson, Zombo, and Peprah and maybe finds a way to land Philip Blake at C while trying to fix the D.
ain't nuthin wrong with straight up Grey Goose vodka. however, flavored vodka of any sort is just wrong. can't remember if it was here or somewhere else this discussion took place, but you can't get zima in the states anymore - went out of production in 2008. gotta go to Japan to get it if you want it now. have a nice drive! if I had to choose tho, I'd be sittin' at CJ's house with MM on the rocks.

Nor should he:

Trades: The Packers traded a third-round pick (89th overall) to Carolina for two fourth-round selections (115 and 126). Green Bay then traded pick No. 126 to Philadelphia for three selections, No. 167, 175 and 245. Lastly, the Packers traded pick 175 to New England for picks 195 and 246.

Players: The Packers wound up with safety Marviel Underwood (115), cornerback Mike Hawkins (167), wideout Craig Bragg (195), linebacker Kurt Campbell (245) and guard William Whitticker (246). Carolina took defensive tackle Atiyyah Ellison (89), the Eagles drafted offensive tackle Todd Herremans, and the Patriots traded pick No. 175 for a pair of selections. One of those went for quarterback Matt Cassel.

Winner: Eagles// Patriots. Thompson struck out on every selection he had here, while New England and Philadelphia both did well.

His most aggressive "always trade down" year was this cavalcade of crap. Smiler

This thread is about the Packers 1st round pick.

Try to keep up genius.
The Packers do their due diligence in regards to trading up and down. I'm sure they have made calls gauging what kind of deals are out there at what spots and for what kind of compensation. I'm 100% sure Thompson is willing to move up or down if the price is right and the player is right. He probably put teams on notice that they would be willing to move up so that if a team is desperate to move down they get called. No surprise.
