Please tell me you know that is Kluwe joking with Tom Crabtree. Please.
Oh, how I hope Richard Sherman pulls a Eugene Robinson during Super Bowl week.
Honestly I think the douche of the year award has to go to Aikman. How a person could have their nose so far up the 49ers ass is beyond me.
Sherman was just telling it like it is. They didn't throw at him all day, and the one time they did (the most important play of the game) he showed them why. Given the **** Harbarf has said about him, I don't blame him for going off. In any case, it's a lot more interesting than the typical boring post game response...
I do think that Erin Andrews crapped her panties.
I think she thought Sherman was talking to her because she asked the question...she was definitely taken aback.
I wonder if the NFL will make Sherman apologize to Erin Andrews tomorrow.
What did we learn today?
1. Billy B needs better players on D (But he's not getting fired is he???)
2. Peyton bitched out to the AFC and it peyed off.
3. The AFC is WIDE OPEN in 2014.
4. Colon Kaeperdick is building a compelling case that the back breaking contract he's about to sign might have been a franchice crippling mistake.
5. Richard Sherman likes Richard Sherman.
6. Percy Harvin. Wrong guy in town for a weed/accomplishing things argument.
I want Richard Sherman on the Packers
Kaeperdink looked totally out of his comfort zone whenever he tried to pass.
I don't know about that. I thought CK was pretty damn good today. His running ability is obviously off the charts. But I thought he had some pretty good passes today. That TD pass to Boldin was absurd -- on the run and a bullet in the one place he could catch it. Likewise, he had about 3-4 rollouts left where he threw it back across his body right on the money. I think he threw a bad ball on the Chancellor int (that was painful to watch considering it was very similar to the chance Hyde let get away). I don't think the last int was that bad of a passâĶjust a great play by Sherman. Kind of reminded me of that tipped Mike McKenzie int to save a playoff win vs. the 49ers a few years ago.
Two other random thoughts:
1) 49ers finally had some bad luck go their way down the stretch with the two key injuries and batted ball. Up until then, everything was going their way, including 3 fumbles that they recovered. Even when they get screwed by the refs, it ultimately works out in their favor b/c Seattle fumbles the ball away on 4th down.
2) You watch these games and you appreciate what a thin line it is between winning and losing. You gotta cash these NFC title games into Super Bowl wins. For all the great work SF has done these three years, they are 0 for 3 in converting NFC title games into Super Bowl wins. Favre went 1 for 4 in that department. Rodgers is 1 for 1 so far, feel fortunate they put it all together that one year.
Kaepernick made some really ill advised throws today. In other games, he got away with them. Today, they doomed his team. So no, I didn't think he was all that great throwing the ball. Now running with the ball, that was a different thing altogether. But if he doesn't learn to pass the ball better, his career won't be a real long one.

What are all the ill advised throws he made that doomed his team? I'll give you the Chancellor int was a bad decision and poor throw. But what were the other ones? I don't recall him pulling a Brady and missing wide open guys down the field. On the contrary, he had a handful of throws that he was somehow able to get just over the fingertips of Seattle defenders.
He's getting a lot of grief for that last int, but I have no idea why. It was a pretty good throw that was less than an inch away from being the winning TD. Sherman made an unreal play to deflect itâĶand 99 times out of a 100, that great defensive play results in an incompletion.
I thought CK played a great game. Arguably he had two bad plays -- the int to Chancellor and the delay penalty that turned a 3rd and 1 into a 3rd and 6, which ended up being the sack/fumble on the next play. I don't really blame him for that last intâĶjust a superb defensive play.
Defense still does win championships. One way to look at is is that Sherman made the play and Hyde failed to. The good news is that the gap between the other NFC playoff teams and the Packers appears to be extremely small.
Colin Kaepernick = Duante Culpepper
Can't read a defense past his first receiver, then takes off & runs.
Threw the exact same pass in Green Bay, difference is Cam Chancellor made the INT today. That's the difference between winning & losing. Kaepernick ain't ****. Neither is Russel Wilson.
I hope the Niners sign CK to a 10 year $250,000,000 contract.
I feel really bad about Navarro Bowman. Great player....****ty way to end the season. He probably won't be back until October or November at the earliest.
The Niners were lucky to even be in this game. Sure would've liked to see what Green Bay would've done in Seattle today.
Three fourth-quarter turnovers in a conference championship game isn't greatness by any objective measure.
I want Richard Sherman on the Packers
I don't. I'd like a guy that can play like Sherman, but I don't want him as a Packer.
The good news is that the gap between the other NFC playoff teams and the Packers appears to be extremely small.
This is exactly what I was thinking last night. To me the difference has been showed right on the field. Other than figuring out how to tighten up the defense, MM needs to push the power running game and use that more to his advantage in the passing game. There were a few times this year when they should have just lined up and run it and he seems to want to be too cute. Spread them out if you want but use that hammer you have.
I have a hard time believing that Seattle will be able to hang with the Broncos offense. Seattle was ripe for the picking last night and San Fran could not execute when it mattered.
Gruesome knee injury on Navarro Bowman @49ers is not career ending. ACL/MCL needs surgery. Tight window for first game but not impossible.
I see no issues with Sherman's post game comments. Love the emotion of the moment.
i agree his comments were nothing really, but the way he delivered them was hilarious. Even at that Andrews ability to interview (she asked a relevant follow up question) even in the face was infinitely better than Pam Oliver showed with Harbaugh.
"is that a quote?" - hilarious. no, Pam, the guy speaking directly in your face is reading from a script written by someone else. she is horrible - game in and game out. she's more concerned with her hair than anything on the field. don't know how she keeps that job year after year.
Because she's an African American?

I would not say it is extremely small. I don't think it's extremely large either.
No way the Packers need as good a defense as Seattle, given its superior offense (note: Rodgers is so much better than Wilson), but the difference in quality between the Seahawk's and the Packer's defense is astonishing.
don't know how she keeps that job year after year.
Same way Aikman and Buck continue to be the #1 team on Fox?
I want to temper this Aikman stuff, such as he being pro-SF, pro-Kaeperdink, anti-GB.
He clearly said that Kaeperdink was making passing mistakes that could bite the 49'ers NOT ONLY in yesterday's game, but in the prior two playoff games as well.
He basically said K could have lost to the Packers if only the Packers capitalized on his mistakes.
The good news is that the gap between the other NFC playoff teams and the Packers appears to be extremely small.
Tackling is the biggest difference between the Packers and the teams that played yesterday.
hate crime
I want to temper this Aikman stuff, such as he being pro-SF, pro-Kaeperdink, anti-GB.
So you think you can read my mind? I just think they suck. A lot of mindless babble that takes away from the game.

You are not the only person who has criticized Aikman.
Regardless, I appreciate your clarification and now realize my post has no relevance to the reason you can't stand his work.
I was definitely speaking for the idea that folks dislike Aikman's work because of team bias.
The good news is that the gap between the other NFC playoff teams and the Packers appears to be extremely small.

I suppose so, but there are other reasons, such as:
1) Overall physicality at virtually every defensive position.
2) The ability to get pressure from just the Front 4.
3) The ability to cover. Here I am not suggesting the Packers corners cannot cover, but overall the difference is pretty big
4) Really part of 3 - the ability to NOT have the middle of the field just beyond the LoS to maybe 15-20 yards beyond be a stinking, wide open sieve.
Finally, had the Packers played at Seattle in this game, my best guess is they would have gotten bitch-slapped.
I just think they suck. A lot of mindless babble that takes away from the game.
When Bowman went down I immediately saw that he was hurt. Those two knuckleheads didn't figure it out until they cleared the pile. There were a couple other times I can't recall right now where they babbled on while they were missing what was happening on the field. Buck is the biggest suck of the two. And thank gawd for that little crowd noise graphic showing decibels during the game - that really enhanced my viewing.
Good points.
Also, guys making plays.
That play by Aldon Smith on the first snap of the game was incredible.
Notice how fast their OLB close on the QB when they let the man in front of them go? That was amazing compared to GBP players.
I want Richard Sherman on the Packers

For the longest time Tom Crabtree was the only NFL player I followed on Twitter. Seriously funny dude.
Jesus ****. Until seeing this still I didn't understand how bad the injury to Navarro Bowman was.

Exactly..even Seahawk players were motioning to get assistance and Aikman does what he always does--he complains about the officiating when it doesn't fit the team he is pulling for...they show Bowman's leg getting contorted over and over and AiKman just keeps blathering on about how it should be San Fran's ball...
