To be honest, I’ve never been around somebody as knowledgeable of the game as John Kuhn,” said running back Johnathan Franklin, the Packers’ other rookie running back out of UCLA. “As far as running back goes, he’s such a leader. He understands what he’s doing thoroughly and what we’re doing. He understands the game of football. We could ask him anything about a defenses, a look that we would get, about our routes, about running the ball — he is so knowledgeable. He understands the game of football to a T. It’s really amazing.”

“John Kuhn’s a four-down player,” McCarthy said. “Any time a player on your football team has the ability to play on all four downs, he definitely brings more value than I think people realize. John was in the game at the most important time of the game for us. That tells you how we feel about him, as far as playing two-minute.”

Great guy to have on the team for s Super Bowl run- the experience he brings to the table for the offense and special teams is invaluable.

Draft & develop always needs a few graybeards to coach em up....

I agree about having a pure FB, but I wouldn't want it at his expense.. I would rather go with 2 HB's, pure FB and Kuhn serving as emergency HB and FB while playing special teams.

The extra roster spot could come from DL or TE.

Obviously it's not going to happen unless Franklin steps up.. Right now you need all 3 of our HB's as one is young, one is injury prone and one is a project.
