Can they make shots? That's always the key.

But earlier in the season they also struggles to defend the perimeter, especially against top teams.

I am also intrigued by the Zoeller/Berggren matchup.
Yeah, I caught that too. That tells to their expectations.

Good first half though. Handled the pressure, good movement. Really attacked the basket, which they did against IL. Need to start strong 2nd half. Gotta rebound, too. Can't give them all those scone chances.

Actually it's ten in a row.
How in the hell does Bo do this year after year? They really don't have a true point guard. They are usually undersized and under athletically compared to the opponent. The 1st time all year Indiana has been down by 10 or more. Win or lose this game, Bo and the boys have done a hell of a job tonight.
You gotta hand it to these Gs... Brust, Jackson- they needed to stabilize the team and they have. Ryan is doing a great job getting the younger guys to pick it up. Bruiser's emerged again as a force, and that has also been stabilizing. When this team makes shots, they get better defensively too.
Boy no kidding. Jackson really struggled with he pressure earlier this year. Just looked lost, unconfident, deer in the headlights. Marshall was attacking and seemed to have more game.

Completely reversed now. Jackson is decisive and his shot has started to fall. Something lit I him, and it's made all the difference.
Probably the best, if not one of the best wins of the Bo Ryan era.

Certainly was not expecting a win but they played very well and most importantly they hit their free throws.

The other factor was that we got the good Evans tonight meaning he hit his shots. You know that Berggren and Dekker are good for about 25-30 points per game but if Evans can chip in 15 on good shooting this team can compete pretty well.
I'm seriously beginning to dislike Crean. In his post game presser he said this:

"We just weren't moving the ball like we should have, like we do, and I think when we see the film we'll see that it's not as much them as it was us," Crean said. "I'm not taking anything away from them. They played well."

Yes you did!! You just said it was not them as much as it was us. That's taking away from what Bo and the boys did to you and your over hyped flunkies. The fans love to chant Bo Owns Izzo but in reality he really owns Crean.
Crean is funny. The Badgers defended the perimeter to the tune of 11/39 shooting by players not named Zoeller. Hulls, a 52% 3 point shooter for the season was 2/8 for the night from the field.

The did not design anything to stop Zoeller knowing that Berggren can play him straight up for th most part and not get totally killed. Especially in the second half, they pushed Zoeller out on he perimeter and out of the paint. It hurts his draft stock IMO.

But the Badgers made the other 4 work their asses off and they couldn't handl it. You watch other teams do the same, now- the old Jordan rule... Let MJ get his, don't let the others get theirs.

I think it was obvious that point guard of theirs who looks like 1989 played a horrible game.
I think it is obvious that Brust has really, really grown defensively. He had an excellent game last night. Jackson looks like a different player on defense than he did a month ago.
