My god.

You spoke earlier as to the futility of Lindley. He did not disappoint.

I'm serious. Arians should be shot for not trying Logan Thomas or ANYone else. & I do mean Anyone (Favre, Tebow, etc.)

Shoot me now, or shoot me later.... but, I think that Lindley could actually be a serviceable backup in the right system.

Arm strength? check

pocket awareness? he never had enough time against Carolina to exhibit this aspect. the man was getting 1.2 to 1.8 seconds to get a pass off. how fast is Rodgers? not much faster than 1.9....

QB coach? non existent

I really think that if was given an opportunity in MM's QB school that he would excel.

the kid has the tools, simply no guidance.

sad, really....

Cam, on the other hand, he just sucks. he was missing throws yesterday that I am sure michiganjoe could have made. he is just lucky that he can run like a deer.

But, I like Lindley, he will never be special, but he could end up being a lot better than noodle arm or the Tolz....

I would have to say that he had absolutely NO time to play well. as soon as he had the ball there was someone in his face. Gimme a break, but, there are not many QB's that could have dealt with such a porous OL. He was getting hit on almost every play. not to mention, his OL did absolutely nothing in the run game. that loss was not on him.

AZ lost in the trenches and it was not even close. his performance was a by-product of this. was he good? no, did he even have a chance? also no.

everyone always wants to give 100% credit or blame to the QB... sorry, he was not blocking for himself.

Cam, on the other hand, often had time. but he is horribly and fundamentally flawed.

I only know of 2 QBs in my 40+ years of watching the NFL that can/could throw accurately off their back foot or off balance.... Guess what? they both won super Bowl(s).

I believe that in the right system(read QB coach) Lindley could be serviceable as a back up.

Professional career

Arizona Cardinals

Lindley was drafted in the 6th round of the 2012 NFL Draft by theArizona Cardinals. On November 18, 2012, he replaced John Skelton in a loss to the Atlanta Falcons. He made his first professional start on November 25 against the St. Louis Rams. In his first season he posted a very low 46.7% completion percentage and threw 7 interceptions compared to 0 touchdowns. After two seasons with the team, Lindley was released by the Cardinals on August 25, 2014.

San Diego Chargers

Lindley signed with the San Diego Chargers and was assigned to their practice squad on August 31, 2014.

Second stint with the Arizona Cardinals

On November 11, 2014, Lindley re-signed with the Arizona Cardinals after a season-ending injury to Carson Palmer. When starting quarterback Drew Stantonwas injured in the December 11 game against the Rams, Lindley entered the game and saw his first in-game NFL action since 2012. On December 28 against the San Francisco 49ers, Lindley threw his first career touchdown pass to Michael Floyd. He finished the 2014 season with a 48.4% completion rate, 562 yards passing, 2 touchdowns, 4 interceptions, and a 56.8 passer rating.

On January 3, 2015, in the Cardinals' first-round playoff game at the Carolina Panthers, Lindley completed 16 of 28 passes for 82 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions. He had a passer rating of 44.3 and Arizona lost 27-16. The Cardinals only totaled 77 yards of offense, the fewest in NFL playoff history.[3]
