I think the reason why Rodgers and Nelson are the best QB/WR combo in the NFL is not only the last TD, but the TD in the back of endzone. Jordy didn't just run around trying to get open, he recognized the open space in the coverage, exploited it, and Rodgers was aware enough to hit him. Having a QB who is savvy and aware enough to exploit your weaknesses is hard enough to defend, but throw in there a WR who can perfectly adjust on the fly and that WR being 100% on the same page with that QB and it's impossible to defend...that's not even mentioning Cobb who is very savvy and aware himself. If we had an athletic veteran TE who could exploit weaknesses then this offense would be completely unstoppable.

Defenses have to get to Rodgers in under 3 seconds if they want any chance of stopping him. That means the DT/DE/OLB better immediately flatback the Tackle or Guard and hit Rodgers while the DBs are sharp and on their game.

Good post.  Adding that Lacy and Starks seem to be on the same page too.

Adams? Definitely not yet, but it seems like it is only a matter of time before he is there, too.  Also, using the TE's and the rookie on set plays and searching for the vets on broken ones is working, so what the Hey.

I agree with Janis at TE. Although I've got no issues with the job Quarless is doing at all. He's going to have his best year ever at TE. And he blocks. A lot of what happens with Janis is going to be on Janis. He has to find a way to make himself impossible to keep on the shelf. Won't be easy. The talent level on this offense is silly and getting better.

My brother in law and nephew got to spend some time with Jordy last winter in the offseason.  As it goes, Jordy asked one of his buds if he could set up some snowmobiling one weekend.  His bud knows my brother in law and they ended up riding for half a day.  Jordy had never been on a sled before and after about an hour asked if he could drive my brother in law's which is on the upper end of performance.  This was before the new contract and my brother in law told him he "didn't want to be the guy that got Jordy Nelson killed and have half the state mad at him".  But all was good and he spent a couple hours hanging with my 8 yr old nephew afterwords.  Jordy was apparently the nicest and most down to earth guy you could meet.

One of nine receivers drafted in the second round and one of 35 wideouts drafted overall in 2008, he was the Packers' first selection that year. They dealt their first-rounder (No. 30) to the Jets for second- and fourth-round picks. At No. 30 the Jets took tight end Dustin Keller, who has half of Nelson's total yards and less than half his career touchdowns and is now out of the league. Two wide receivers were chosen before Nelson, Donnie Avery by the Rams at No. 33 and Devin Thomas by the Redskins at No 34. Avery has less than half Nelson's career yards, one-third his touchdowns, and Thomas has been out of the league for three years. The only one of that year's 35 drafted receivers to rival Nelson's numbers is the Redskins' DeSean Jackson, who bests Nelson's receptions and yards, but lags well behind him in touchdowns. In his class, Nelson is third in catches, second in yards and first in scores.

Could have been one of his biggest games.  It was there for the taking.  Not a jinx - sht happens.

Well then , if that's the case, then Durango has added at least two years to my life span with that comment.   Thank you Durango!
