He gets hurt, his throwing arm, and leaves the field. Just heard it on NFL network, and I think they are trying to kill him. They want Geno Smith as QB and they are trying to kill Mark Sanchez. How long was Mark in last week....almost 3 quarters? I think the owner want Sanchez out and Smith in. JMHO

Geno had 3 INT's and an Orlovsky Tonight. He's not ready for prime time.
Did he really have an Orlovsky?
that is unbelievable.
he's a 2nd round pick. and he ran out of the end zone. dear god.
He did. Not quite a full blown Orlovsky. at least Geno made an attempt to throw the ball away but the damage had already been done.
And Sanchez fumbled a snap before he got injured.
What happened to Sanchez? Didn't he used to be semi-good?
Sanchez could have been a decent-to-good QB in the right situation. Unfortunately, Rexy and the Jets wasn't it.
He may not have ever been Pro Bowl caliber, but there is a long list of teams that have won SB's with mediocre QB's. Now, his career path may follow someone like David Carr. Used and abused 'til they're broken down, then flush 'em down.
Sanchez = Next year's QB3 behind VY here at the Green Bay Orphanage for Abandoned First Round Quarterbacks
Not sure it wasn't Rex Ryan's decision to put him in there because because he is a Sanchez guy and clearly the new GM is pushing for Geno Smith since he drafted him.
What a mess
Big-time Jets fan here------they're gonna keep the Jags from being the worst team in the league.
I had to look this up. Couldn't happen to a better team. Priceless stuff
That's pretty messed up to send Sanchez out there behind the 2nd & 3rd string OL. Ryan saying it was "All him" is B$ too.
Ryan is a lame duck head coach & they're definitely in the conversation for the Clowney sweepstakes. Jets / Raiders / Jags / Browns.
One of those 4 teams will be drafting #1 overall next year
If you were going to tank this is a good year to do it
Clowney looks like the best pass rusher to come out of college in a long time
Thought I read that Rexy had a mini meltdown in his press conference after the game due to tough media questions, at one point turning his back to the room and making some "strange" comments. Dead man walking.
Sanchez is a long line of overrated USC QBs that can't play. Carson Palmer did fairly well but never lived up to expectations, but Sanchez is the right-handed version of Matt Leinart, who was the slightly better version of Todd Marinovich.
DD - See Boris' link to ESPN. Sounds like the media kept asking the same question over and over, just rephrased differently. He basically said he can answer a question how he wants. I'm no fan of Rex, but I don't think he was disrespectful. He basically gave an answer and the media didn't like it so they pressed him.
This is part of the reason why so many players and coaches hate sportswriters. And why the sportswriters deserve to be hated.
From Total Access: I'm told if OC Marty Mornhinweg has a vote in the QB competition, his vote is for Geno Smith⦠even if Sanchez is healthy
High praise indeed
If the Jets end up with the #1 pick, im not convinced they'd select clowney given how bad their QB situation has been.
Bridgewater or Boyd are more likely to go #1 right now given how bad the projected bottom 4 teams are at QB. David Fales with a huge season could make the top 10 as well. Clowney would look great in Green and Gold, but if that ever came true it would mean AR-12 got abducted by aliens.
I would love to see what Jets fans would do to Radio City if they had the first pick in 2014 and didn't select Clowney.
As good is Clowney is and as high a ceiling he projects, I think it's a little premature to automatically assume he's the #1 pick in next years draft. Players emerge throughout the season (in college and the NFL).
