Bucks hold and win by 3 as a half court heave by Kuzma hits back rim. Giannis, Dame, and Brook go for 101 points.

Bucks struggled on defense all night and Middleton may be out for a while, but a win's a win.

Connaughton fouled with 12 seconds left - chokes on both

I didn’t see the whole game, but the little I did see, Pat C. may ask the coaches to delete any videos they might have of this game.  Wow he looked bad.

The Bucks are just a weird team.  They just seem to have no answers for anyone defensively and it makes what should be easier games become hard to win.

Connaughton was awful on offense tonight, but without Middleton and with Beauchamp looking horrible he was the only wing defender they had that was playable. He at least fights through screens and makes the opposition work to score. Cam Payne is a blow-bye waiting to happen (and it often did tonight). They tried Green, but he was basically defenseless against screens and was beaten off the dribble. Lillard and Beasley played OK defense tonight, but they got nothing from the bench (aside from one great block, Portis really struggled going 1 for 5 with 2 point).

They are now down Middleton and Crowder. This is supposed to be where Beauchamp seizes the opportunity, but wow he was bad tonight. Jackson may have to play more. Even Thanasis might get some run, because he's a very good guy fighting through screens and contesting shots (he just can't dribble, shoot, or screen without fouling which kind of makes it tough to play him).

That the Bucks played this poorly against this bad a team is very concerning.

We’re 16 games in. That’s a fifth of the season. And the team doesn’t appear to be any better than they were opening night.

Giannis wants to win other championships. Can anyone honestly say that this team has moved closer to that goal in the offseason? If we’re being honest, I don’t know how we can. Our defense is absolutely terrible right now.

I’m not sure any team about 15 games in can really say much about championship aspirations.

Boston just got boat raced after nearly blowing a huge lead to the Bucks and their previous game the Celtics blew a 9 point lead in the last 2 minutes to a horrible Charlotte team that ended up being a loss.

The way the NBA is going I’m not sure you can really tell anything up until the trade deadline.   I fully believe Milwaukee will look to add a 3 and D guy to bolster the perimeter and backcourt defense unless Beauchamp or Jackson Jr are that guy.

No different than I have to think Boston has to add some frontcourt depth as there is no way that’s a championship team with what they have playing the interior.

Boston and Milwaukee are still the two best teams in the East with Philly and Miami lurking so that’s really no different than what most of us thought 2 months ago.  The Bucks haven’t played great but are 11-5.   Lillard is shooting 30% from 3 and that’s going to improve.  You just have to hope they can get something out of Middleton and that Crowder comes back OK.
On the flip side, you could make a strong case Lopez has been the team MVP so far.

No it isn't...they played down to their competition who played over their heads.

They're all professionals and the Bucks get everyone's best shot every single night.

FYI ....last I checked the scoreboard the Bucks added a tally in the win column.

When you don't play your best and still win, that's the sign of a Championship team.

Take the win learn from your mistakes and improve in the next game.

Right now, the Lopez/Lillard pick and roll is more difficult to defend than the Giannis/Lillard one. The difference is that Lopez can step back and hit a 3 or just abuse a smaller guy if he gets it on the roll.

The defense can just blitz Dame when he runs the action with Giannis and Giannis can only roll - he can't step back. Lopez also sets much better picks than Giannis.
