Astros had a 5 run lead after 3, but Phillies tied it up in the 5th. Verlander pitched well, early, but had some control issues in the 4th and 5th innings. Relievers in for both teams, now.

Kyle Tucker with 2 HRs for the Astros, tonight.
2 former Brewers on the field tonight. Phillies' SS Jean Segura and Astro's catcher Martin Maldonado.
5-5 going to the 7th.
Astros pitcher, Neris, gets out of the top of the 7th, stranding 3 Phillies.
Very nice to watch a World series and not have to listen to that insufferable Joe Buck.
To the bottom half of the 9th we go, tied at 5. Will Houston get the walk off or are we in for extra innings? McCormick at the plate. McCormick strikes out.
Vasquez pinch hitting for Maldonado. Vasquez strikes out on a pitch that was a ball on a 3-2 count.
Alive up to bat. Altuve with a fly ball to shallow center for a single.
Altuve steals 2nd. The stolen base. is under review. Call of safe, stands.
Pena flies out. Extra innings, it is.
Phillies add a run, in the top of the 10th and hold on to win Game 1.
If the Astros want to win games, they have to get Altuve to produce. His play, in the playoffs, has been abysmal. He got 1 hit in Game 1 and that was a blooping fly ball that landed between Phillies defenders. Once he got on base, he did get a steal and even that was contested. It was his play, in the past, that got the Astros advancing. He will need to snap out of the doldrums and be a leader, again. Phillies are doing what they've done most all season. Hanging around and having a feeling like they're never out of it. This should be a fun series.
