How long have you been trying to get tweets in bed?
Since the summer of '74.
On your toolbar of the posting window, far right, you should see " <> " that's where you enter the embed code
B - I've done that, but no luck. Thinking maybe I need to log out of x4, clear cache, then log back in to see the changes made?
I use Chrome.
Tried that method with both Chrome and Firefox without success in the Randall thread.
FWIW I've tried that with Firefox and Safari. So far no go.
I LIKE:
Posting box already open and not having to click a button.
New format options
Haven't tried viewing on mobile bt I'm sure it works fine.
That "Take Action" button makes me feel like a powerful Social Justice Warrior standing up against the Oppressive Cis-Gendered White Privilege.
I DON'T LIKE:
The GeoCities/Homail Backgrond and no customiation option
Hard to find how many posts a thread has.
Clicking "unread posts" takes me to posts I've already read.
No visible space between the Like and Reply buttons.
Fedya still posts here.
How do we search for a topic?
Honestly don't see it. I must be blind.
Found it. Menu button.
Re: The Background....We've had it for years. Don't understand what the issue is now?
Sometimes you need to wait for the page to load fully (100%) & First Unread should work. It has for me

I don't understand why I can do this & you guys can't. Must be a permissions thing & I'm looking into it

You say it like you found the man in the boat

You should have heeded your mother's warnings.
Embedding works for me know after log off, clear cache, log back in.
That fix worked for me, thanks, H5.
What's the code for formatting directly?
The old bulletin-board based formatting of using square brackets doesn't work, and using the HTML blockquote tag doesn't work to quote just a small amount of material either.
Telling me to use the clickety formatting options doesn't help either, because those options <i>don't appear</i> in Chrome on my smartphone.
And HTML code doesn't work either.
Dumbing down formatting so that people who know a little bit of code can't use that knowledge is apparently the wave of the future, too.

I guess you have a dumbphone then.
The toolbar that's available on your laptop/desktop probably isn't available on my Android Samsung phone either, (5.9" screen) however it IS available on my Samsung tablet. (8") Proving Android isn't the issue.
Size matters

Thanks for the reminder.
So there's no way to do the code manually?

Switch hands once and a while!
I'm not sure if it functioned this way in the past and I never noticed, but... The "first unread post" feature appears to be device specific now. Meaning, if i browse at work, on my lunch break of course, and then pick up the tablet at home, the site does not tie "first unread" to user account but to the device that i accessed from.
I access from 3 work PC's, 1 personal PC, 1 work phone, 1 personal phone, 1 work tablet and 1 personal tablet. Total of 8 devices.
I noticed that too. I'm making a list & checking it twice before I submit a large support request
Not a gripe, but the 'first unread post' is hit-or-miss for me. Always from the same device and same browser.
Odd, unless Boris figured something out, but when I logged in just now everything I read last night before logging out was showing as un-read this morning. So, I [re]read (viewed) those posts and then refreshed the page, and now they show as unread.
I too have noticed the read/un-read status not being in-sync between my laptop or phone.
1st world problems.
I'll Do what I can to get it all sorted out.
Any comments on the current theme color? I'm assuming it's ok since nobody said anything
It's alright.
I do think the quoted text is too light, it can be hard to read sometimes.
I have a flip phone
I only use a computer and the quoted text is difficult to read. The McCarthy press conference in the Dallas thread is an example
worked for me... I guess
Attachments
Speaking of complaints...can we make Bostick catch that damn can of corn in the new format?
Outstanding seeing the Forums in a drop down format now instead of clicking and then going down thru the list. Good job Boss!!!!!
When a picture is attached to a post, it defaults to a view of the attachment immediately below. I don't need to see any of these pictures twice, can we set the default to hide the attachment? I tried to find it in my own settings, but failed (I would always do it myself if I could) (said the man with no arms)
