Interesting game today. Back-to-Back Sixers to Nets

W's UP by 22 at the half - no Durant (Probably saving him for OK City) & Curry playing out of his mind.

Early in the 3rd Q W's up by 28, by end of 3rd up by 14 as Nets start to make a run. Curry picks up foul #5 at end of 3rd & has to sit until middle of 4th Q.

Nets cut the lead to 5 as Curry fouls out with 3 minutes left in the game. Dubs get real tough on D at this point & clamp down. Livingston gets fouled with 21.7 seconds left, sinks a couple free throws to make a 3 possession game. W's up by 7. Nets attempt a 35 foot 3-pointer & Draymond stupidly comes WAY out & fouls him for 3 free throws.

He makes the 1st 2, misses the 3rd to try & get the rebound but Draymond rips it away. Klay gets fouled, makes FT's & Nets miss a couple shots as game clock expires when Dubs get the board. Final 118-111

Nets are a pretty good young team. They're going to win some games. Just need some experience.

It's so interesting seeing these opponents really raise their game when playing Golden State. Makes for very entertaining, quality basketball.

OKC really took it to the defending champs tonight.

An interesting little side point is the Warriors bench cut the lead from 26 to 17 vs. every OKC starter.

OKC plays lackadaisical vs. Memphis & the Spurs & loses but when the W's come to town,....Whoa nellie! Let's sit up & straighten our tie & play PROFESSIONAL basketball.

Like I said earlier...it really is cool watching these teams play vs. the Warriors. Every game is high level basketball.

Last night....Warriors play like crap, many turnovers & get their ass kicked vs. the Hornets in Oakland.

Tonight....Curry comes back & is just possessed. He had 35 points at the end of the 3rd quarter.

Warriors score 141 (WTF?!?!?) & win easily vs. Memphis.

It's only regular season but it's shaping up to be a helluva year in the NBA playoffs in 2018.

Happy New Year everyone!!

Warriors up by 8 with 3 minutes left.

W's up by 5 with 2 minutes left.

Durant with a block, then loses the ball back to the Mavs - Matthews buries the 3 with 1:29 remaining cutting it to TWO (120-118).

Farrel steals it from Steph but misses the shot. Curry tries a BOMB of a 3 - about a 36 footer which misses at the 1 minute mark. W's still up by 2 with under a minute to play.

Mavs ball. Harrison Barnes the former Warrior with Aaron Rodgers favorite shot (#MidRange) to TIE the game inside :40 seconds left.

Warriors take too long to get a shot but find Klay cutting underneath the basket who puts up a shot behind his head Larry Bird style & gets the KIND roll & in!

Warriors 122-120 with 24.2 left to play. Mavs take a TO. Mavs are running clock. Klay fouls as they had 1 to give with :20.5 left. Harrison Barnes on McCaw drives the lane, spins & makes the shot to TIE 122-122 with 12.1 left!!

Curry up the right wing with - what else - A real nice screen from Draymond - Curry left alone at the top of the key goes for the DAGGER 3 & BURIES IT, nothing but net!! With :03 seconds left & Mavs no timeouts. Mavs fire up an air ball & Warriors escape Dallas with a win.

MAN.....what a game. I love watching these guys play. The Mavs were completely unconscious & played their best basketball game of the year but somehow the W's found a way to win. Curry ends up with 32. Such good basketball.

Tonight the Mavs are 19-41 from 3 point range & LOSE! Mavs 4 game win streak snapped. W's yield a 10-0 run at 1:50 left & survive. Unreal.

Now you know why Aaron Rodgers follows Zaza

You shot such a bad shot!

Warriors / Celtics

My goodness what a good game

Curry with 49 - I figured Kyrie probably needed 40 for the Celtics to win. He got 37 & they lost by 4.

Celtics are WAY better than Cleveland. I hope ANYBODY beats Cleveland this year. Really don't want them in the finals.

No guarantee the Warriors make it either.

In any event, MAN that was some real good basketball to watch

Boris - I don't think the Warriors have anything to worry about. Home court advantage over the Rockets isn't that important to them. As long as their big 4 stay healthy, they're fine.

Every team that plays them is jacked up to play them. They play 82 games to get in sync for the playoffs.

Their biggest concern is that Durant and Green are racking up technical fouls at a rate that may get them suspended for a game in the playoffs. The Green suspension in the Finals in 2016 is what cost them that title.

I donโ€™t know man... Green throwing his damned foot up at peopleโ€™s crotches and then trying to play it off like it was incidental and unintentional probably had more to do with it. Iโ€™m no fan of LeBron, but he knew he had Tโ€™s to use- and he knew he could bait that hothead right into another. Played him like a boss...

It'll probably never happen but I can't tell you how much I want to see a Bucks/Warriors final.

If the Bucks have NBA Finals in their future, it seems more likely that itโ€™ll be past the Warriors time on top. The Warriors window is probably 3-4 more years. At that point all their prime players will be in their thirties. Thatโ€™s when the Bucks will be hitting their prime.

Haven't updated this thread in a month. 4 All-Stars hurt. Last night Curry with an MCL strain.

With Boston beating Portland minus Kyrie, I think (if my math is correct) the W's need to win ONE more game & they'll have the #2 seed locked up. They're up by 10 wins with 10 to play.

Wonder if they'll stay healthy enough for a deep run or get bounced in the 1st round?

I think Golden State is in serious trouble if they canโ€™t get healthy.  Itโ€™s a different team when Curry isnโ€™t 100% and several other key guys are also dinged.

Houston just seems to be rolling right now and I think they have a very realistic chance of winning the West and getting a title.  Portland and OKC are intriguing and could cause some damage as well.

In the East, I got to say LeBron is playing at a level the last 2 weeks Iโ€™m not sure Iโ€™ve seen in a long time.  Toronto and Boston are solid but James looks like he wants to put that team on his back and carry them.

L'Bron Hubbard will be right there again - as usual.

Boston, Toronto &/or Philly seem to be the only teams that have a shot of dethroning the "king"

If the W's get all 4 All-Stars back in time for round 1 (Kerr already said Curry won't play in round 1, we'll see) I'd be surprised to see them bounced in the first round.

Anything is possible though, like we said at the start of the year, their worst enemy is injuries.

If the All-Stars are at 100%, they will never lose a 7 game series, not even to Houston.

I think they are approaching a point where the Durant/Draymond technical foul situation could end up losing them a series. If they lose one of those guys for a one-game suspension it could be deadly. Draymond getting suspended in 2015-16 is the main reason LeBron got his ring with the Cavs.
