He is the archetype of what I meant in starting this thread. I remember his name being called during the Oakland superbowl season. Just can't remember what he did.

Yes he did lose his contact lens.  But he also has 62 yards on 17 carries.  His longest run that day was 13 yards.  I remember when Lombardi got him off the Rams taxi squad (which is what they called it in that day).  He ran for about a 10 yard TD vs the Falcons at county stadium in Milwaukee.  That was the only game I saw in person until 2004. 

What I remember about Ben Wilson was that he got the start over Chuck Mercein after Mercein made all those plays in the Ice Bowl. They had that as part of the documentary about the Ice Bowl. Mercein said he was told during the week that Lombardi just thought Wilson made for a better matchup. You could see the disappointment in Chuck's voice...

Not really no names, but KGB and Elijah Pitts because their names were so fun to say. 

 

For real no-namer, Steve Wagner, because we went to the same high school. He played at UW, then in GB four seasons, Philly for one. Appeared in most games for GB, but did little. If memory serves me, his sister died of leukemia(?) when he was in high school.
