Predict the Final Four.

My prediction(s) soon

Niners over Vikings

This game is easy. I fully expect 3 turnovers from the deep purple pukes. Cook puts 1 on the ground & Kark serves up 2 more. Niners in a laugher.

Ravens over Titans

The Titans know how to keep this game close. Feed the beast that is Derrick Henry. Unfortunately, like the Vikings, they too will have a couple turnovers from Tannehill because the Titans will be behind. Titans will keep this one closer than is comfortable for the Ravens but Ravens will get the win.

Chiefs over Texans

Texans suck except for their QB & DeAndre Hopkins. (Oh how I wish he was a Packer) Bills had them dead to rights & only a magical Aaron Rodgers, Houdini type play from Watson saved the Texans from certain defeat. There will be no such plays in this game. Chiefs with too much talent & speed.

Packers over Seahawks

Packers have advantages in nearly every area of the teams except LB'er & possibly QB. Packers will dominate LOS on both sides of the ball. This game will be the most boring game of the weekend. 51% of people are picking Seattle on CBSsports.com. LOL. Expect trick plays & a few fake FG's & fake punts, onsides kicks plus their defense trying to strip the ball constantly. It's the only way Seattle can win.

Packers 34 / Seahawks13 (maybe they get a garbage time TD to get to 20).

Yes Packers in a blowout as they head to Santa Clara for Championship Sunday!

Are you ready for some football?!?!?!?

AFC

Texans and Ravens.

Setting up the Watson vs Jackson showdown and narratives and backlashes to the narratives and new narratives. Will be exhausting.  I just don't have the same feeling about KC that I did last year - maybe that's a good thing and the hype train being less is good?  Anyway, odds are you get 1 upset in the 4 Divisional games. And I'm gonna go with this one.  (Hate picking Bill O Brien in anything though)

NFC

Niners and Packers

Media will be angry/bored reminding us repeatedly that the Niners kicked the Packers ass and will certainly do so again. Gnashing of teeth and lamentations  that the Seahawks were the best matchup and if it wasn't for X! Y! Z! then the Seahawks would have won. Packer fans will repeatedly repost, retweet, post and call in to complain about what Skip and Cowherd and whatever talking head you hatewatch says, thus doing exactly what those turds want you to do with their hot "takes".

Unless something happens like an injury or Jimmy G just absolutely falling apart, I'm confident the 49ers will handle the Vikings. The Saints had more holes than people gave them credit for and the Vikings were disciplined enough to limit their production. The 49ers have tons of weapons, a brilliant play caller, and a defense that will absolutely abuse Cousins. I'd love nothing more than to host the NFCC, but the Vikings aren't an upstart team on a hot streak, they're an inconsistent team who squeaked by the Saints.

Titans are running into a buzzsaw, their luck will run out.

KC defense is underrated the last part of the regular season, they won't get outlasted like the Bills did, especially with Mahomes and Kelce.

Packers and Seahawks are both teams who like to play games to wire. Expect a low scoring slug fest that will come down to who has the ball last. Packers have actually been able to close out close games this year (aside from PHI), so I have a good feeling someone named Smith will close out the game for the win.

NFCC: Packers @ 49ers

Common sense says 49ers will win, but you never know. West coast redemption.

AFCC: Chiefs @ Ravens

Don't see the Chiefs being able to keep pace unless LJ falls apart.

SB: Packers vs. Ravens

LJ has a mental breakdown and doesn't play, Packers win easily.

I still do not believe the 49ers are this juggernaut that everyone seems to think they are.  Are they freaking good? oh hell yes but I do think they can be beaten.

Last week the road teams were 3-1 and I have this feeling it will flip back the other way favoring the home teams this week:

KC thumps Houston

Ravens win a close one over Titans.  If the Titans can keep the ball away from Jackson all bets could be off and the Titans win.  Wouldn't be shocked to see it

Spermheads beat SF.  Yep I truly believe it could happen.  I think Cousin's does just enough and MN gets enough ground game to win 21-17

Seattle eleventy billion Packers 2.  I will NOT jinx things and give a score for that game as I never do.  What I will say is that I am tired of is that the entire country (and many fans) think the Packers are a fraudulent 13-3 and stand no chance, worst 13-3 team, won't be able to contain Wilson, blah blah.

I don't see any upsets this weekend, going with the home field teams.

-Vikings will not be able to control the LOS like they did against NO and their defensive secondary is beat up. Big day for the crazy SF TE. Winner SF.

- Henry looked good for Titans and Tannehill did just enough to beat the Pats. But, the Ravens will play fast and LaMar Jackson will continue to tear it up. Winner: Ravens

JJ's back but Houston had to go to OT to close out the Bills . KC and Mahomes should be well rested and flying high. Winner: Chiefs

Packers defense will do what's needed to give their offense the additional possessions needed to keep Jones and Williams on the field enough to do their thing. Expect some crazy sh!t from Carroll. Since the Lions and Vikings both tried to throw to the QB, wouldn't be shocked to see it. This one will be close. Winner: Packers

I think the Vikings will get crushed BUT their only hope is that when talented Kyle Shanahan offenses, historically, have struggled it has been against primarily Cover 2 schemes and variations like Tampa 2 from good DC's like Jim Schwartz, Mike Smith, Sean McDermott, etc. It doesn't happen often, but those defenses tend to keep everything in front of them and play shadow games with pre-snap reads. Shanahan's scheme is predicated on precise timing, a huge variety of route concepts from every skill position, and also playing games with pre-snap reads. Should be a good game of cat/mouse between Shanny and Zimmer, but in the end I don't think MIN will be able to keep pace on offense.

Predicted winning teams are bolded.

Vikings at San Fran

There's no way I can see Vikes OL being able to handle 49ers pass rush. Vikes will get some chances for a big play, but not many.
Kittle will kill 'em on offense. Vikes are beat up on both sides of the ball, but defense is hurting the most. And they are worn out from injuries, being on the road, and having the extra game.

Titans at Baltimore

I doubt the Titans will be much more than a bump in the road, and will likely get flattened on both offense and defense. Their defense is crap. They're talented on offense, but I doubt they will be able to sustain drives consistently enough to keep Jackson & Co off the field.

Texans at KC

I'll give Houston a puncher's chance because of Watson, but they are perennial under-achievers, and that likely holds true for this game.
I don't think they will be able to contain Mahomes, and he will kill their defense on improvised plays.

SeaSucks at Green Bay

Seattle is similar to the Vikes as far as injuries, weak OL, and a suspect defense.
They are also similar in terms of being fatigued, as well as playing on the road and having to cross time zones. There's going to be a price to pay for that, and the Packers will be ready to collect.
I still have to give the Sucks a chance purely because of Wilson, but there's no reason he is going to suddenly turn into Mr. January. I think the Packers defense will force them to be one-dimensional, and our guys up front will feast.
Our offense will be consistent enough to control TOP, and efficient enough to convert some scoring opportunities. Their defense will be worn out by halftime.

I absolutely despise everything about the Minnesota Vikings.  Fuck them... always.  Except tomorrow.

Minnesota over San Francisco... Just because it benefits GB.  Otherwise, fuck them again.

Baltimore over Tennessee... I think Baltimore beats their ass.

KC over Houston...MyHomie and his skill position players are just too much.

GB over Seattle... GB has superior talent on both lines.  The only way this game stays close is if Wilson plays out of his mind or GB struggles to cover Metcalf.  I'm not seeing it.  GB wins this one by 10+.  Rodgers has one of his best games of the year, Jones rolls and Blake Martinez leads the team in tackles again, but continues to be the worst fucking linebacker in the history of the game.

Vikings get the crap beat out of them. Viking fans blame the ref's and instantly become Niner fans. Jaymo order's a Garoppolo jersey off of e-bay to go along with his discarded Cousins and Brady jerseys.

Ravens over the Titans easily. Although Derrick Henry runs over the Raven's defense so bad the Houston Oilers fight song starts playing in Earl Campbell's honor

Chefs over the Texans. Andy Reid breaks into the Chef's Hall of Fame and grabs Hank Stram's black KC coat and program and is mike'd up for the game "I told you it would bust open Rats!"

Packers over the Chickens. Pack win the toss and defer. Open with an onside kick and recover. Drive down the fiels but stall out promting a fake field goal pass to Bakhtiari for a TD. Marshawn Lynch's dreads freeze and stick to the bench causing Pety to chomp off the dreds with his teeth causing hair to get stuck in his gum.

Only upset I'm picking is Texans over KC.

In reference to Seattle GB. I hear people talk about the Packers always being in close games and barely winning, but I never hear anyone say the same thing about Seattle.

In fact, Seattle has won only once by more than 1 score (AZ in week 4). GB has 5 such wins. I like the point differential number as a tell. Seattle is plus 7 for the season. Green Bay +63 and they are at home.

(of course Houston is -7 points for the season but I'm still picking them, because you have to pick and upset!)

Packers' rookie coach gets the best of Pete Carroll in a comfortable win.

I will also go with those.  Wilson is 0-3 at Lambeau.

Do you think the Packers would want to try beating the Vikings at Lambeau for a 3rd time this season?  Or do you think that GB would want to go to SF to face the 49ers one more time?  While I think the 49ers win, should we be (can't believe I'm saying it) "Viking fans" for one weekend?

Are you ready for some football?!?!?!?

I like the way you think!

It's only 12:35 Saturday afternoon, and this weekend (which I include Friday) has been an emotional roller coaster.

+ Find out that the Sopranos prequel movie I've hoped for for nearly 13 years is happening, and will be in theaters two days after my birthday. I was on cloud nine for about ten minutes.

- Neil Peart's death announced by Rolling Stone on Facebook. Guts ripped out, trampled on, set on fire, and shoved back inside.

- After not sleeping for nearly 24 hours (back has been killing me), I finally fell asleep. For 30 minutes, only to be awakened by my iPhone going monkey shit. "Tornado on the ground". Ten miles from where I live, near DFW airport. WTF, it's January 10th, and there's a tornado????

+ I get a couple hours of sleep, wake up, and it's 29ยฐ and snowing like mad. Again, WTF? It was 70ยฐ yesterday, and now there's an inch of snow on the ground. It's coming down like crazy. But for an instant, it's oddly comforting. I feel like I'm back in Wisconsin, and I'm reminded that, while we've had a few storms with some decent snow, the last time it came down that hard here was ten years ago, before the Packers played at Jerry World, and won their fourth Super Bowl. I'm hoping that's a harbinger of things to come.

Now, if the Vikings get spanked, and we wipe the ground with the Seachickens, this weekend will be redeemed. I don't want the Vikings anywhere near the Super Bowl, because they might do something stupid, and actually play well enough to win it. I want them choking back the tears as they gorge themselves with Gefilte fish in Minneapolis.

I just got a call from my nephew, heโ€™s on his way back to Richland Center from a meeting in Green Bay.  He was standing next to RUSSELL WILSON yesterday in the pool area of the same hotel!!!!!  Said heโ€™s pretty short.....ha ha.  My nephew is 6โ€™2 and Russell is shorter then that by, he said, at least 3 - 4 inches.  I asked if he said anything to him, he said no.  Seahags are staying at the Hilton in Green Bay.

Is RC still dry?
