Well, before this is locked,  I'll propose this: Pew Research Center estimates our population will be 384 to 496 million souls by 2050. Now that government mandated births are a real thing, it's probably towards the higher amount.  That means more needs, more services, more issues. You don't get there by cutting, you raise revenue.

Flame away. The rich have had their fun.

Attack the post, not the poster, pendejo.

I apologize.  It's just that there's another site I frequent where that gets used so often that it's clear the FY part isn't referring to the previous poster.  By the same token, if somebody were to ask why Roger Goodell were engaging in some sort of idiocy, a likely response would be, "Because fuck you, that's why", and it's clear we don't mean for the previous poster to go screw themselves.

More broadly, it's pretty clear that the big divide in the country is not right versus left but the government class versus the people being mulcted to pay for the government class.  But I know that's not a popular opinion most places.

So happy I love my bar.

One of the local Packer's/Badger's/Brewer's bars in my area, Kozy Korner, burnt to the ground, a while ago. Owners are saying they are trying to rebuild. That leaves one Packer bar to go to in North Hudson, if I cannot watch the game from home. Thank God for the Packers Radio Network and their affiliate, WEVR, out of River Falls, WI. Always fun to listen to Wayne and Larry comment on the game, with the TV sound off, if the game is aired.

Sounds like its either the Village Inn or streaming from your phone.  The DOFU Sports app has worked really well for me.

And now that Congress looks like is going to get involved with taxing sports leagues due to the PGA/LIV merger the NFL will only be charging more.

The first salvo came out of the office of California Rep. John Garamendi (D), a senior member of the House Armed Services Committee.

On Wednesday, the congressman introduced a bill called the ā€œNo Corporate Tax Exemption for Professional Sports Actā€ following what the he called the ā€œSaudi Sovereign Wealth Fundā€™s surprise takeover of the PGA Tour.ā€

The legislation would end the tax loophole that the PGA Tour and other professional sports leagues use to avoid paying any federal corporate income tax.

Hate to break it to everyone, but before we start counting our tax money from the NFL know that the NFL voluntarily gave up its tax-exempt status in 2015. There are a host of reasons why it did so, but the amount of taxes the NFL actually pays is tiny compared to what it generates. Here's an explanation: Why the NFL decided to start paying taxes
