The Bandwagon Franchise is getting close to irrelevant draft territory. Good for them.

They passed up the Cards for the 7th playoff spot today but PFF favors the Cards over the Vikings by about 20% based on remaining schedule. I think among all the teams fighting for that last spot I like the Niners chances the most. They are getting healthy and confident again.
Yeah, the Niners are moving in the right direction, that's for sure. Manhandled the Rams.
Denver hanging with KC is remarkable.
Not in today's NFL it isn't.
Man what I wouldn't give to have Kelce with Tonyan on Green Bay
Having spent a 3rd, I wish we were giddy over having Bobby T paired with Jace.
Unfortunately.....
@Boris You could say that about almost any skill position player on KC.
Those guys at RB, TE, WR rival what we had at WR & TE in 2010/11.
Aaron Jones is better than their rookie -- CEH
Sure but wasn't the point to have their guy "next to" our guy?

Had? What about what we have? We have the best RB duo in the League (behind the best OL in the League), along with the best WR in the League and one of the League’s best TE’s in Robert Tonyan.
Sitting here envying KC while we lead the League (including them) in scoring. Why?
To me, it seems like the anti-homer mindset here at Timesfour has this place completely blind to the Super Bowl run we are on.
All the pieces are here and now.
This is happening right here, right now, and you want to reminisce 2010. Weird.
"All the pieces". Guess you forgot teams also have defenses.
They have a good pass rush and a stellar secondary, arguably the most important parts. It's enough of the pieces if the run defense keeps improving.
The way this offense is playing, they're always going to have leads, and teams feeling like they need to pass to play catch up. It's a good recipe.
We're beating the entire league in scoring. Time to get on board with the roster instead of staring across the fence at inferior offenses, building fantasy rosters and thinking about the good old days.

Read it again. Boris said it would be nice to see Kelce next to Tonyan. I suggested it would be nice to see almost all their other skilled players next to ours. Edwards-Helaire next to Jones, Hill/Hardman/Watkins next to Davante, Kelce next to Tonyan. You like to make up shit just for the sake of arguing.

Sorry if I misunderstood DH13. I was going by what you wrote here.
Also going by the overall roster nitpicking that has been going on in here for the last 2 years, you included. MLF and Gute went 13-3 last year and by Packer fans reactions, you'd swear we were 3-13.
Then the entire off-season they got nothing but raked for their draft (not drafting "weapons for Rodgers") and offseason moves (same) and it seems like fans are just stuck in that mode, to the point the team is on a Super Bowl run and people are all "Yeah but!"
Not trying to single you out but this is epic and there's zero hype. I get the anti-homer thing, but what if you're the best overall team in the league? I just think it's time to fire up and give credit where it's due. People are missing the forest for the trees.
Yeah I guess that is argumentative what are you going to do? I'm imperfect too. LOL
I don't think I've heard one "yeah but" about the middle of this defense.
Defense wins championships. Fact. Even poor teams can still run on this defense. Fact.

Marv Levy said special teams win championships, which doesn't bode any better for the Packers.
When I think of guys that know what it takes to win the Super Bowl, Marv Levy is right at the top of the list.
To be fair, he knew what it took to lose the SB in excruciating fashion.

Heck of a game in Pittsburgh right now, tied 17 all. Wash on the move 2:20 left
Wash up 3, with the ball, 2 minutes left, only the Jets could screw this up
WSH INT with 2:00 left in game. lead the stillers 20 - 17
Edit: INT in field goal range
WSH up by 6, 17 seconds left
Don't look now but Wash and the Giants are playing good ball....whoda thunk it?
It's over!
Fix is in for the fukin' 49r's already. Ref throws an interference flag from 30 yards away well after the play is over when the official 2 yards from the receiver doesn't see anything.
I've never understood how so many games in so many sports can be fixed
@Pikes Peak posted:I've never understood how so many games in so many sports can be fixed
Everyone at some point who is a fan of a particular team thinks in the heat of the moment something must be "fixed" and then with some perspective we realize it was nothing like that. Of all the Wisconsin-related games I've watched as a fan the one I still think was potentially "fixed" was the Wisconsin-Duke National title game where the calls at the beginning of the second half were a run of some of the most questionable calls I've ever seen. I don't think that was fixed as much as some refs getting worked by Coach K and worried about their chances of getting some summer reffing gigs for USA Basketball.
The one game I remain convinced was fixed that I was a neutral observer was Game 6 of the 2002 Western Conference Finals between the Lakers and the Kings. The Lakers shot 27 FTs in the 4th quarter. I was watching that live and was astounded at some of the calls. Here's the Wikipedia entry on it.
Game 6 is considered to be one of the most controversial games in NBA history, as numerous questionable calls went against the Kings in the fourth quarter. The Lakers, led by O'Neal's 41 points and 17 rebounds, won 106-102, setting the stage for Game 7 in Sacramento. There are allegations that the game was affected by the referees in relationship to the Tim Donaghy scandal.[17] The Lakers shot 40 free throws overall, 27 in the fourth quarter alone, and the Kings' big men were plagued with foul trouble (Divac, Webber, Scot Pollard, and Lawrence Funderburke were called for 20 fouls, with Divac and Pollard both fouling out). Webber nearly had a triple double (26 points, 13 rebounds and 8 assists), Bibby scored 23, and Divac had 12 points and 12 rebounds.[18] The Washington Post sports columnist Michael Wilbon responded to the calls in Game 6: "I wrote down in my notebook six calls that were stunningly incorrect, all against Sacramento, all in the fourth quarter when the Lakers made five baskets and 21 foul shots to hold on to their championship." For example, Wilbon pointed out that Kobe Bryant did not get a foul called on him after elbowing Mike Bibby in front of an official.[19]
That's one.....maybe.
