Will be a different game next week with a home crowd, cold weather, and on grass. Plus, unlike Jennings, McMillian and Burnett, Woodson at safety means a better tackler.

And, hopefully, Capers will pull his head out and realize the way to beat Ponder is to bring a pass rush, not stupid zones which let receivers run free.
Cold weather is a Packers advantage? This isn't 1996, we have a dome team. Don't get me wrong, the Packers will win, but they're the biggest bunch of softies in the NFC playoff field.

Dude, you were writing this team off in the chat room when we were down in the first half...and then you double down with this comment? Really?

i'm just saying, they looked like crap today. am i wrong? Not saying they won't win. I'll bet you anything they win next week. But giving up 400 yards to the Vikings doesn't make me feel good about going to San Fran.
What sucks is that if they do win next week they have to go to San Fran. I'd have much rather played Atlanta. That's if they win, which is not a given whatsoever.

There were so many chances to win the game. They had the ball twice with a chance to take the lead, one time it was a fumble the next time they only got a field goal. Then they had 3rd and 12 and for some reason Casey Hayward forgot how to play football for a split second.
That was vintage December 2011 defense. The healthier bodies made no difference. Brain dead penalties and a very poor decision when MD Jennings tried to intercept the pass in the end zone instead of knocking it down. P-poor tackling. Blown coverages. Poor coverages. The dreaded 3 man rush. No forced turnovers. Velcro'd to the field.

AP is great but the Packers also got lit up by Christian Ponder. Christian Ponder.

Um, yeah, you are. The offense put up 34 without its most dynamic player. We miss a duck by Ponder in the first half, and they score a TD at the end of the half. A stupid play by Tramon Williams. The Vikings can't play any better than they did today, we can.

hope its similar for the pack. they sleepwalk thru the 1st quarter
and were sloppy on Defense

I surely hope that next week's game isn't as close as the GB/AZ wild card game. Give me a Badger/Nebraska run-up, please.
I think they'll win prettily easily next week if the weather is decent. This was the Vikings Super Bowl. Unless Peterson goes for 250 next week, they should win by 10+. No way Ponder plays this well in an outdoor playoff game. If the game is played in a blizzard, I'd go with the Vikings ability to run.

What this loss did is make it likely they will lose in SF in the Divisional Playoff round.

Here here.
Nah, they'll win next week, then get bitch slapped up and down the field by a team like the 49ers.

Of course. You guys are acting like they knocked us out of the playoffs. Grow some balls
So is everyone who was so sure the Packers were going to beat MIN today, knock them out of the playoffs, wrap up the #2 seed, etc, etc. now going to say they'll surely beat them next week?

I sure as hell won't. Our D, not just got shredded but pounded pretty hard with a lot of minutes on the field. Now they gotta turn around in less than a week and do it again vs. AP. And Ponder suddenly looks like a poor man's AR - except harder to sack. Could be another nailbiter next week. If they lose to MIN at Lambeau...I may puke myself inside out.

They can win next week, I'll pick them to win. But they better play some better ball than that.

the secondary was especially disappointing today. i thought they'd be able to bottle up Christian Ponder. I guess I was wrong.

Tramon had a terrible game. Absolutely awful. I'm still pissed off about his penalty. What a dumbass.
