In Golden Tate's defense how incredible is it to make a no-handed catch?

That image goes really well with the 1st comment I heard on the postgame show........"Golden Tate had complete and controlled possession.........of M.D. Jennings"
The "Russell Wilson game-winning interception" was my favorite line

Looking at the replay, the right hand in the snap appears to belong to the other Seahawk WR who was signaling Touchdown. Tate's right arm is across Jennings chest. Tate doesn't have two right hands. If that's his left arm, his head's on backwards.
I've never seen an aftermath to an NFL game like this one. It is the most I have ever seen EVERY talking head out there 100% united that this was the greatest screw job in sports they have ever seen. I normally hate blaming refs for losses. But in this game, you have no choice but to blame them.

+1

For u guys, I texted McCarthy & told him if he wanted to let loose, i think I've got 357,000 friends who'd take a collection to pay his fine

It's easily the worst call I've ever seen to decide a game. Even worse, they had a chance to review it and correct the call, and still blew it. And even worse than that was obvious PI that directly resulted in Tate being open.
All I can say is that at least the world is on our side on this one. Can't wait to see how Goodell spins this in his statement later this week. Not a single analyst I've seen agrees with this call.

I think the first guy who made the call was thinking (wrongly) to call a TD. AS he ran to the pile, he expected the other ref on the end-line to raise his arms for a TD.
As the first guy began to raise his arms for a TD, the other end-line guy began to raise up his arms...BUT only to waive his arms for a touchback! Not a TD.
The stupid first guy never bothered to ask before giving the incorrect signal!

Only Seahawk fans and Viking fans believe this was the correct call.
The simple answer, which these refs have proven over the last 7 weeks, is that the refs don't know what they're looking at even when they see it. They know what the definition of a simultaneous catch is, so I'm sure since two refs saw each player catch the ball they thought that meant simultaneous catch. The troubling thing isn't the refs up close making the wrong call, the regular refs do that, the troubling thing is that the head ref had a ton of time and a dozen different angles with HD zoom and slow motion to study it AND he has league representatives to consult and he still didn't know or understand what he was looking at. Of course he and the league can hide behind "there was not definitive evidence to overturn the call". The league will never admit their scabs were wrong either.
@TJLang70 Any player/coach in Seattle that really thinks they won that game has zero integrity as a man and should be embarrassed.
Oh boy, here we go.

I would do a thorough background check on these referees who did this game. Like someone posted earlier some ref got pulled from the Saints/Panthers game two weeks ago because he was a Saints fan. If any of them had even an inkling of bias towards Seattle the game should be protested.
I was in total agreement with what Steve Young and Trent Dilfer said after the game. Total incompetency tonight.
I am so f**kin' pi**ed of right now!
If the lockout isn't settled this week, how would you like to be a replacement ref at Lambeau next week against the Saints? Wow.
Jesus H Christ, even Golden Tate did not confirm that he caught the ball. He said that he "competed" on the last play.

The replay guy is not a scab according to McGinn.
@BobMcGinn
Maybe 30 sec. after Slavin's ruling, #Packer prexy M. Murphy approached NFL observer Mike Kensil. Kensil reminded him Slavin was NFL guy.
@BobMcGinn
Remember, TD was in final 2 min of half, meaning no hood for ref. Thus, replay guy Howard Slavin can rule TD or no TD. It was up to him.
@BobMcGinn
Howard Slavin works in closed box off main press box. NFL observer Mike Kensil is in open press box maybe 2 seats down from #Packers brass.
Lance Easley was the side judge who called it a TD. He was a junior college football ref...
That PI on Shields still burns the f outta me....been watching this league religiously for 35 years, and I've seen some great defenders play the cb position with tremendous talent and skill, and Shields played that ball as textbook as any HOF player could....not to mention was grabbed around his own helmet by the wr...

IOW - Vegas cleaned up. BIG surprise.
Money is the answer. Follow it. Goodell needs to step down. He is poison to this sport.
Kevin Seifert on ESPN calling for all Packers owners to be down at NFL HQ tomorrow to confront Goodell. Saying any other owner who got jobbed would be there. I like the idea. Time to swarm NYC.
OCCUPY NFL HQ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!CHEESE

I will be in GB this weekend raping things in the refs' lockers.
I will be in Manhattan next weekend for a wedding. I may need to poop on something that the NFL doesn't want pooped on.
I'm sure kworst and I can drive his yaht through the lobby.
DH13 is bringing the Zima.
So pissed. Seriously. This is insanity.

About ready to fill up and head there to spearhead the assault.
I can see Mark Murphy confronting Goodell. Goodell would laught in his face. Someone Goodell should fine is the whole Seahawk orginization for thier actions after the game.
MM already told his players to let it go on concentrate on the next game.

I beleive the the Pats owner and Ravens owner can't be supporting these refs. Now the Packers have to be weighing in....who exactly in the owners group is saying stay the course with these refs?
Nothing is going to change. So long as it doesn't happen every week, this **** is actually "good" for the NFL. If it happens only 2-4 more times for the rest of the season, it will probably just be viewed as something that generates controversy and interest.quote:Originally posted by turnip blood:

I do believe, that like in the Ravens game last night, the chants from the crowd should overwhelm the TV attempt to drown out. 70,000 fans screaming "Goddell sucks" over and over.....
Jerry Jones, Dan Snyder (heads of the conniving moron contingent) and the entire cheapskate contingent (Mike Brown, Ralph Wilson, Bud Adams, Bill Bidwill, Malcolm Glazer, the McCaskeys, the Fords the......) will not do anything before next week's games.quote:Originally posted by slowmo:quote:Originally posted by turnip blood:

And I missed watchin' rasslin' tonight for this chit!
Unbelievable! Packers completely got hosed on that call. That was a pick.
One question entered my mind though...
Did Jennings get greedy for a stat INT when every coach teaches you to knock that ball down on desperation plays?
