Well, that's one rule they need to clear up. I always thought it was the ball and in that case, it would have been really close if Cutler had the ball ahead of the LOS when he threw. And yes, it would have been hilarious if the Bears had ended up losing on that particular call. As it was, I'm glad Shields stepped in front and nabbed that ball cleanly. As it was, I was holding my breath to see if they'd flag a PI there. Wasn't Tramon also there? It was difficult to see where Shields came from.

I think they had Bush on Marshall at the LOS with Shields playing deep.  Tramon must've been on the other side covering Jeffrey with another DB deep.  Hyde has the slot receiver (#10) and it looks like Banjo is man coverage on the TE down the middle.  MD Jennings is the Safety coming over from the center of the endzone.  So that leaves, most likely, Tramon, Burnett and probably Richardson (or House) on the other side.

Illegal Pass:  A few years back on the same type of play, I am sure that Peirra said it's where the Ball is thrown not the body...the Ball must be out of the hands before it crosses the LOS.  But that is hard to call when it's that close.  Unless it's called as a penalty first, I don't see how it could be overruled from the booth.

Hail Mary:   I thought Cutler was throwing to his left because he kept looking that way....then, he turned and winged it towards Marshall....also, I thought the Bears could've had 2 tries at a Hail Mary at the end as there was a lot of time that Cutler took to get around everyone in order to throw.

I think that is the college rule.

I think Cutler blew it on the last play.  With ten seconds, he easily could've worked a middle of the field pass to get 15-20 yards closer.  If it's completed, they had a TO to burn.  Incomplete, and they're in the same boat they were with 10 seconds left - Hail Mary.

By being 10-20 yards closer, they would've had way more plays to call, and it would've been much more difficult for the Packers to defend.  I think he made a huge mistake there.

I agree on the TOs and Cutler or whomever calling the plays made a a mistake. If they would have had a TE in the middle of the field against our defense, it would have been an easy 20 yards and then you burn your TO. Then you have at least one shot at the EZ from closer range: an easier percentage for those big receivers and more chances for a PI.

TBSS, thank goodness!
