Last week linebackers....this week receivers...

 

I'm sorry after 3 out of 4 years of this stuff....I am convinced the Packers are the most injury prone team in the world.

 

Bad Luck...but come on...its gotta stop some time.

Liked Rodgers going after the Ravens DB that blew up Cobb's knee. DB has few options thanks to Goodell. Still thought it was bush league to go right at his knee though.

Agree with the earlier post about splitting Finley out and pounding Lacy behind Q and Taylor. Best bad option GB has at this point.

Ride the big fella in the second half. The Lacy train is ready for departure. Maybe move the pocket since your center can't hold the point?

Strahan made a good point during halftime...the DB going low is probably a byproduct of all the rule changes that discourage tackling high near the head.

 

(insert joke about turning the NFL into a two hand touch league here)

Just got a text message from coach McCarthy:

 

"Ask if anybody on X4 is in Baltimore, and wants to play wide out in the second half. We need bodies."

 

We really need to get back to running the football in the second half.

 

Any word on Cobb yet? That looked really ugly (and a cheap shot). I am concerned.

"Bad drops by Nelson, Finley, Boykin, Boykin and Boykin are the difference in the game."

 

I'd add Kuhn to that list. These injuries are so frustrating. Does anyone really need to wait for the MRIs to know the results? We don't get "dinged". Maybe we can petition for 3 more byes this season.

Myles White, wr on the practice squad may be active next week.  Anyone know anything about him?

Hopefully ROMMM has some good play options being tweaked for the 2nd half.

They've only lost Bulaga for the season so far, so it could be a lot worse. Let's hope for good news on Cobb, and then watch this team get healthy and make a run.

Probably right, Fond. It's just frustrating, because these guys have been playing the game since Pop Warner, and they've been taught to play the game one way. Now the NFL decides that football is a violent sport, so we have to change how the game is played. In doing so, you're just exposing players to more injuries because now they're being asked to ignore the instincts they've developed for years. 

 

The players already know it's a violent sport. They assume the risk. But what the NFL is doing is essentially telling a bunch of guys playing musical chairs "hey, guess what, we're taking away the chairs."
