I'm tired of all the indecision at ILB from the starters.

Jones is awful- he should be replaced by Barrington.
On Starks' TD Rodgers did a really nice job finding a guy to block at the second level and really springing Starks for the final 5yds.

Agree, not even average.

Agree. I can't believe Jones is still running around out there as a starter. GB is long overdue to find a badass MLB. They tried with Hawk and I give TT kudos for the effort. Gotta take another swing when the opportunity presents itself. Borland would have been nice.
1) Not draft Adams
2) Trade up in the 3rd
Which of these 2 would you suggest?
Jones was filling the gap inside Daniels. Meanwhile Daniels crashed inside rather than maintaining his gap. The resulting cutback lane was on Daniels, not Jones.
Right from Daniels
I know personally I could have been better (on the touchdown)," defensive tackle Mike Daniels said. "I took the guard and ran him so far out of the gap that I took myself out of the play. I can live with it when it's a matter of, 'Hey, kick his butt this way, don't kick his butt that way,' instead of, 'Hey, you got your butt kicked.'"
Doughty looks like a decent kid too.
Gotta love that mullet.
In St. George you can get arrested for having sex with someone you're not related to or having glass in all your windows.
Dick Rodgers will be our starting TE at some point this season. He's good.
Watched it this morning on NFL Network.
Tolzien may make keeping three QBs a reality, and maybe put pressure on rag-armed Flynn.
Losing Abbrederis really hurts the punt return team.
The offensive line depth looks very thin, RB Depth looks good.
Is Winston Moss over-rated or are the Packers ILBs that untalented?
Quarless looked rather poor as a receiver. It maybe be Rodgers' job soon anyway.
Rodgers is going to get injured, and they're going to keep Flynn, Tolzien, and Rettig.quote:Tolzien may make keeping three QBs a reality, and maybe put pressure on rag-armed Flynn.

The fight for the 5th WR spot is going to be interesting to watch. Adams has secured a spot as #3 or #4 depending on how you view Boykin. That leaves a whole bunch of guys battling for the last spot. Personally, I hope it's either Janis or Harper. Both are big targets and are playmakers. Dorsey looks like Tarzan but sometimes plays like Jane. Myles White seems to have a good feel for the offense but he's not fast nor is he big (not a great combination).
Again, TT is the smartest guy in the room.
I hope we keep 2 QBs. Tolzein. It's been proven we can cut Flynn & he'll still be available later if we need him. Flynn is more valuable to us than the other 31 teams combined. It's a beautiful thing.
Yes...keep Tolzzzzzzzzzzzzzzein....Start $herrod....Buck Cherry sucks....Bush needs to be cut. DuhVante Adams was an excellent choice.....Abberdumdum can take the pounding of an NFL season.
Jesus ****
I guess we all see different things from the same plays or players.
While I agree Tolzein does have arm strength, he's got little else to go with it. Accuracy and decision-making are lacking. He looks like a bona fide QB about 1 out of every 4-5 passes.
– You didn't hear much from Derek Sherrod. That's a good thing. He played a big number of snaps and didn't have any noteworthy plays where the Titans clearly got the best of him. It was a strong start for a guy who hasn't played more than a few snaps in over two years.
– Ha Ha Clinton-Dix was active and always around the football. His debut was far from perfect, as he missed a tackle on the 170-pound Dexter McCluster and then was beat up the seam by a backup Titans tight end. But to his credit, the rookie stayed physical throughout the night, and he recovered after being beat to disrupt the catch attempt. He can play. Now, it's about gaining the needed experience and becoming more technically sound.

Why are those the only two options?
Besides, I think you are taking it wrong. My intent isn't to throw out "TT ****ed up by not getting Borland." Rather, I'm simply suggesting his presence on the roster would be welcome, especially with the substandard players at his position in GB.
FWIW, from JSO on Packer Grades from last night:
Granted, Matt Flynn worked against starters and Scott Tolzien against back-ups. But at Tennessee, the No. 2 QB challenger was much more effective. Decisive through the drizzle, Tolzien completed 8 of 12 passes for 124 yards and a 100.7 passer rating — this with multiple drops. On his one gaffe, fumbling the ball away mid-throw, Tolzien held back the defender to recover the ball himself.
Soon, this competition behind Aaron Rodgers could get tighter.
Flynn went 5 of 10 for 49 yards, misfiring on open receivers.
Can't argue with that at all.
Not draft Thornton and trade up 8 slots? Or maybe he was over-drafted..I dunno... just suggesting I'd have liked us to snag Borland some how.
Explain this to me like I am a 5 year old.
What value does Tolzzzzzzzzzzzzien have to the other 31
I could give a **** if any other team wants Flynn. He is the right backup QB for us. He came in cold off the street and did better than zzzzzzzzzzzzz who had been on the team and taking reps. Imagine if he remains sharp and on the roster.
No matter the question zzzzzzzzzz aint the answer.
Pickled ****ing herring argument strawoman

Thomas the Tank engine is going to be your back-up QB.
Dora is certain that Swiper is going to play Safety
Tickle Me Elmo will win the LT position
Slip N Slide will be your starting ILB
Sadly, Barbie is a Wide Receiver now after years of being a Tight End
Tolzien was better than Flynn.
Neither are terribly good.
Considering Ryan Fitzpatrick and Charlie Whitehurst keep finding work, I think Flynn finds something somewhere. His record as a spot starter ain't that bad. It's not great and he will never get a starting job ever again (or even compete for one), but he will find work.
People have short memories about Tolzien. Tolzien almost killed our season, Flynn kept us afloat. It's not the first or the second time Flynn has kept the team afloat in Rodgers abscence either. He's a competent QB, Tolzien flashes good plays and then turns around and has terrible plays.

There is a coginess about him. MM blindspots.
El Ka Bong's reasoning is sound.

That is a good point. When Flynn is in there with all the starters, he does do a fair job.
As for Tolzien, I have to believe spending the entire offseason here is going to make him look a lot better than he was last year coming off the practice squad. Remember, he was signed to our PS after final roster cuts last offseason. While he clearly wasn't ready to play last year, I think this year may be different. That's why I think he should be getting the lion's share of the snaps this preseason. We know what we have in Flynn...let's kick the tires on the guy with a live arm and see what kind of progress he's made.
Last night suggests to me that he's a lot further along than the last time we saw him. I'd really like to see him play before Flynn next week, hopefully get a couple of series with the starting offense to get a better idea of what they have there (or don't have).
I think some of you have forgotten that Tolzien did not know the offense last year. He did not spend one single day in training camp. Not one. That's really tough for a young QB. Now he has had a year on the team and we saw the results last night. He looked really good. If not for the drops he completes 80% of his passes. On what planet is that bad?
Patience, people. It is still early in the pre-season.
