Taking my 15 year old son to his first game this year, he's (we've) been waiting an eternity for this! We would also like to take a tour and hit up the town but really don't have any other plans. Any recs?

Narrowed it down to 3 games... Sea, Det and Dal. Can I expect to pay $250+/each for decent seats? Will the Sea game tics be a lot higher than the Det/Dal game?

Besides the obvious, any advantage/disadvantage to going to the 7:00? 3:00? or Noon game?

My apologies if this has been discussed before, I did a search but couldn't find anything.

Noon games are great. Tailgate. Game. Time afterward to hang out in town and soak up the win. 3pm starts aren't bad either. Opponents of the 7pm kickoff include those that have to get to work early on Monday like Kiels gardener and livers.

Detroit game will be the cheapest ticket. Seattle will be a tough get.

Make sure to check out off campus places like The Jersey Store for Packer gear but definetley walk the Packer Pro Shop. New HOF will be open so make sure to leave a wad of gum on the new Favre tribute. A "Dine n Dash" at Favres steak house feels wildly liberating.

No such thing as a bad Lambeau roadie. Especially the sons first. Have a great time.

My 2015 wish list:

Super Bowl win 62 miles from home. I miss WI. Badly.

Kicking Seattles ass.

Kicking SFs ass.

Thanksgiving win.

The stammering caveman Jim Tomsula popping his NFL coaching cherry against Minny week 1

Peyton Manning breaking Brett Favres yardage record week 8 against GB throwing for 263 yards but losing 45-17 with Aaron Rodgers answering post game questions with "I hope this doesn't detract from Brett's retirement ceremony"...

Hasn't the Gold Package been the 2nd and 5th homes games since playing all in GB? And, doesn't the NFL set the schedule and not the teams?

Are you asking the Packers to cherry-pick the home games so the Gold Package gets at least 1 decent match-up?

Teams have a certain amount of say regarding their schedule. After Bears fans made too good of a showing at County Stadium they never played in Milwaukee again per Green Bay's request. Too close to Chicago (sound familiar Brewer's fans?) I never saw the Bears play until I started going to Lambeau. Even then it took quite a few years before the old Milwaukee folks got a Bears game. That's not just a coincidence of scheduling by the league office.

I'm with Hungry on this, I didn't think that the teams really had much say, but that is fascinating about the Bears fans at County Stadium, and GB saying we are done.  I thought they moved from County Stadium because they wanted to update Lambeau and they didn't want to throw that money at the stadium if the Packers were playing in two stadiums. Either way, interesting take.

From Demovsky this am:

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- In addition to the announcement of the regular-season schedule on Tuesday, the Green Bay Packers also finalized the dates for their four preseason games.

They are:

Rules of the collective bargaining agreement state that players can report for training camp 15 days prior to the preseason opener. That means players likely will report to St. Norbert College on Wednesday, July 29 with the first practice expected to be Thursday, July 30.

The Packers typically hold their annual Family Night scrimmage a week before the preseason opener. However, it is usually held on a weekend night, so it's unclear how that will fall given the Thursday night game at New England to start the exhibition schedule.

I meant the Bears never played there again not the Packers. According to wiki I had it wrong. 1974 was the only year Chicago played in County Stadium and the fans up in Green Bay crapped there pants because they didn't get the Bears game. So it never happened again. As far as cherry picking good games for the Gold folks, it would be nice because they've been doing it for the Green Bay folks for years.

PFT says that the NFL scheduled the Cowboys to play a saturday game on the same day as 3 HS rootball championships are to be played at AT&T field.  Opppps!  But this won't be a problem for JJ, he will simply plan to sell out the stadium 4 times on the same day.  The only ones going thru pregame warmups will be the people counting the money.

Week 15 - Probably not as Packers are at 3:05 and CBS has National Game, They're also playing the Raiders so unlikely to be flexed.

Awesome, thanks for the breakdown.
