Agreed.  I hope so.  The Pack definitely came into this game with a "let's get this stupid preseason over with" and the Eagles came in wanting to show off their new toys like Murray and Bradford.

Give them credit, they destroyed the Pack tonite in the 1st half but in the end, it's the injuries that are truly the biggest concern exiting this one, quality of play is a distant 2nd.

No scheming is one thing.  But getting beat one on one (Heyward, Hyde, Barrington) is why we have this defensive disaster.

And risk getting yet another serious injury to a WR in a meaningless game?!? You're moniker is perfect for you!

I really am trying to stay nonchalantly indifferent tonight.  I mean really, it IS preseason.  DAS BOOT will correct this.  And, there's going to be a good pile of tape to emb... err I mean inspire some players to enhance their game and effort.

As much as it feels painful, that IS the troof.  Can't wait until it counts.

This preseason lost what little flavor it had when Jordy went down.  The whole team said the locker room was like a morgue after the game last week.

Then your starting quarterback comes out and says something the NFL would probably like to fine him for (if they could), calling pre-season games "meaningless," and saying they should "cut it (the number of pre-season games) in half."

Then on the very first series, your other star receiver, who is in the game for no logical reason whatsoever, goes into the locker room for x-rays.

The starters whose jobs are secure must be thinking, "I'm running around on million dollar legs, what the fock am I doing out here?"

Heck no they don't want to be playing and I don't blame them a bit.

Early on tonight it did not look like the D was playing with the same intensity as the Eagles. After the pick-6 the substituting increased significantly.

That said, this isn't fun to watch at all. But I'm not going to whine about it.

Wow, you have a real ability to try to link two completely unrelated thoughts and try to make a cogent point...not

It's not completely ugly, a lot of bad, but a lot of good play from our depth. Hundley has been pretty good for a rookie with no pro style offense experience. He seems to be taking to the coaching. Walker has been surprisingly good at RT, he has kept Connor Barwin quiet except for the batted pass. Rajion Neal had a few nice receptions and showed good burst. The Safeties have been outstanding, making plays all over the field.

To me the value in preseason is seeing how your depth stacks up against other teams depth. The score looks ugly, but I like a lot of the things our depth players have done.

Good post I would add Montgomery (except for the drop) and Myles White.
