Now, temper some, a bit. SEA's OL is dog ****. But, good showing.

Your boy Perry had a strong game IMO. Made several strong plays against the run.

Also I thought there was no way GB would beat Seattle by double digits?

That trade hurt both teams. Now the Saints have no one to throw to and the Seahawks have a horrible offensive line.

Telling quote from Collingsworth during the game. Graham can't seem to grasp the way Wilson plays is so different. With Brees, you'd go where you were supposed to go and he'd get it to you. Wilson requires more improv skills, and he doesn't seem to have it. I was watching him and various Packer defenders had him covered. Like Willson, on the other hand....

I prefer to think we took a dominant TE and shut him down myself

That's pretty interesting. Looking like both teams lost out on that trade... Our coverage on Graham was pretty spot on for the most part. Hyde doesn't have the speed to match up with him, really. Randall does though.

Brees was/is shifty in the pocket so if you want to call that mobile, I guess you can. However, he and Wilson and night and day when comes to the 'type' of QB they are. I would think they would figure out how to use him but it is only week two. Also in the NFL, unlike any other pro sport, systems make players. HOF-er Brees and the system made Graham a top TE just like the system in GB got JJ a nice pay day.

On the crossing route, Cobb was the primary receiver, but Monty was so wide open.

Three things stood out about Montgomery's play other than his actual catches: one, his being so disciplined on the free play that ultimately became Sherman's PI to drift a bit downfield and then wait for AR to see him; two, his hustling down the field to block for Cobb in the 4Q (and Cobb's awareness to wait for him); and three, after a catch he went over and patted Adams on top of the helmet for his blocking that helped Montgomery gain yards. Those three things, in addition to the catches and YAC, showed me that he's a pro with a good head on his shoulders. No showboating, no over-excitement despite it's his first real action, just a solid day's work to help his team win.

You're dead right.  However, it wasn't Graham's choice; he was traded.  Graham was actually on record as saying he would retire when Brees did b/c he couldn't imagine playing with a different QB.  I doubt he was 100% honest but I think Graham knew what he had in Brees.  Kind of feel for Graham......then i realized he's making $10m a year.

His maturity is why he needs more snaps. He's a weapon.

10 Mill isn't enough to wash the ginger away...I still feel sorry for him.

TT may err on the side of being too cautious while Schneider errs on the side of being too bold.  Yet, however critical one might be of TT, his approach keeps the team away from costly, longterm mistakes and avoids the big swings between highs and lows.  Also, errors of inactivity are harder to recognize because all you can ask is "what if?" rather than"why the hell did they do that??" with Schneider.

I'd take Graham in a second. He's a major weapon. I love the Packers WR core over the years, but if were traded to GB tomorrow, he'd instantly be their best threat.

In the last 4 seasons, he's averaged about 88 catches, 1100 yards, and 12 TDs. I don't care who's throwing to you - that's HOF level production for a TE. Brees hasn't looked that great without him either.

The problem may be is that the Seattle TEs have to contribute in the run game to support Lynch and Wilson running. Graham is not a blocking TE. They are either misusing him or he and Wilson just haven't clicked. It's not like Seattle has superstar WRs. Bevell needs to design plays to get him the ball. He's 6'7' and 265 pounds.  It's like they traded for a Ferrari and have used him like a Ford truck.

As I understand it. They share responsibilities for the draft. Schneider has final say over the 90 they bring to camp. Pete has final say over the 53 that make the final roster.

I don't know what the arrangement is for trades but I assume that's Pete's call given the arrangement of the actual 53 man roster. I haven't seen anything about who has veto power over draft disagreements either. Seeing as they drafted a DL in Frank Clark that liked to roundhouse women in college I'm going with Pete having final say on draft picks.

This is what struck me after that seeming marathon of a game last night. Four meetings with them in last three years, and I can't recall a clean, flowing game. Seems like for an entire four quarters there's some sort of dirty play, controversy or close call that disrupts the flow of the game.

It almost seems that there are times Carroll and his team realize they are getting beaten and do their best to even the playing field. Nothing necessarily wrong with it in and of itself. Trying to get in the opposing team's head is a proven way to win games. But I also believe the last two contests show that Green Bay is catching onto this scheme. Outside of the rotten third quarter last night, I'd say the Pack has outplayed these chumps in six or seven of the last eight quarters they've both been on the field together.

Just watched it again. Holy crap. We saw the best games ever played by Datone, Bj & Nick. Without a doubt.

Add to that the coverage on STs. Lockett was smothered twice by Ryan and late by Randall. Awesome plays there.

On the Elliot pick, we saw great pressure by both Datone and especially Pennel, with some help from Matthews.

Also, nice work by Hyde and Neal, the only two players who were able to bring Wilson down on the read option.

Sherman was struggling on our WRs. Grabbing an awful lot. In spite of that, some phenomenal play by the rookie, Montgomery. Heads up stuff. Great block to spring Cobb, and 3 nice receptions and RAC to get a first down. He earned some more attention from Aaron Rodgers for sure.

Linsley in awesome. Dude blew up Bennett a couple of times. Playing like a vet with years of experience at the top of his game.

Lang was a boss piling in after the penalty ripping Rodgers' face ask off. **** those Seapunks. Nice job backing up his teammate. Great win!
