Yeah. Ouch. Aren't going to get any Jimmy gifts.
This game is being won in the trenches. We are getting dominated on both sides of the ball.
Just let 'em score if you can't do any better than that.
Mostert just ripping off yards.
Not calling holds tonight.

He's not getting touched until he's 5 yards downfield.
Soon to be 13-0 or worse.
Gigantic holes to run through.
At least the injured player isn't a Packer.
If the Niners get a TD here it’s over
Way too early to throw in the towel.
Tschmack posted:The Niners are just killing them up front with 4 rushers. Reminds me of the good Bears D. Or Bucs 20 years ago.
Or the Giants pass rush that beat the Packers and Patriots in 2007 and 2011.
Or the Reggie White/Sean Jones/Santana Dotson/G. Brown front four from the 1996 Super Bowl team.
A dominant front 4 paired with a HOF-level DB like Richard Sherman (or LeRoy Butler) is a recipe to do this to teams.
Raheem Mostert has 69 yards on five carries.

The Packers have 18 yards on 13 plays.

So you want him to turn into Favre? A guy does that and it sends a message you have no confidence in your defense.
Can't do any worse. Just play aggressive. What's to lose at this point?

Then you'll leave the thread?
tv timeout for D to catch their breath
The RB isn't what's doing this to the Packers. Unless they hold up better up front, most NFL RBs would be doing this.
broken wrist?
The Packers need another 1-2 WRs, a real TE, 1-2 LBs, and probably another corner then they can compete with SF
Get him off the field!!!!
I think he needed a stretcher.
Packers must hold them to 3 here.

How do other teams stay with them?
SF is simply WAY better.

17-0.
A cart for a non leg injury? Really?
Savage is very underwhelming

It doesn't matter if they can't block a 4 man rush. We have almost 6 quarters of evidence that the Packers OL can't handle the Niners front 4.
Rush 4, have Richard Sherman take away half the field, and you have 6 guys to cover the rest. That's hard to beat. Unless you can run the ball, Rodgers in his prime isn't going to matter against this group.
I think what's more disturbing is the gigantic holes being opened up by the 9ers oline.
It's going to take a hell of an effort. The fact it's early may be the only saving grace right now.

But ....
I'm guessing they stop showing or talking about the whole draft regret thing now, right?
Can they really be that much better than the Packers?
DH gets his wish I am tapping out
Not enough weed or alcohol to numb this debacle
I’ll be researching draft prospects

True but the piss poor effort on both sides of the ball make it look like the players have already done exactly that.

9ers Oline is destroying the Packers Dline. No scheme can beat that. 9ers taking it to them on both lines.
Almost one half in, and I'm struggling to see what this new game plan people were excited about is.
All I've seen is MLF afraid to throw the ball downfield because he's afraid of the pass rush.
It's still really early. I guess we'll find out if the Packers are completely checked out or whether they have some fight in them.
This could either be a 40+ point rout, or Rodgers could lead a huge charge and cement his legacy. If they could pass block, I'd say the latter was possible. But I'm not convinced they have the personnel to match up with the Niners. It's just a really bad matchup for them.
What should MLF do? Go max protection? He's clearly focused on the short passing game for the most part based on the number of screens and quick throws that have been called.
Appears the Packers need an infusion of roster talent to be competitive with the Niners.
Completely overmatched.

I could see someone thinking it's a bit of both (personnel and coaching), but suggesting the issue is mainly scheme is major dum, in my strongly held opinion.
