We wanted to make Mitch play quarterback. We knew they had a lot of weapons. We knew they were dangerous. We knew all of those things. We knew if we could make Mitch play quarterback, we would have a chance. Plus we got some new toys up front. They did their thing today.”

Translation; we know Mitch can't play quarterback.

I recall hearing something very similar a few years back. Perhaps it's the 'blueprint' for beating the Bores...

“Heard some talk out of the Bears: Packers secondary not working coverage, bigger receivers … we heard about it,” Woodson told Rachel Nichols of ESPN. “We understand that Jay is excited about his new weapons, but it’s the same-old Jay. We don’t need luck; Jay will throw us the ball.”

I'll admit it, I miss smokin' Jay.

They might also be onto something with MLF. Rodgers gave him the game ball (I remember Rodgers holding onto it during interviews after the game), but it's the reaction of Rodgers and the rest of the team that shows these guys seem to like playing for MLF...

Of course they like playing for him, especially after a big win on opening night, on the road against their ancient rival.  Lets see how it goes after a setback or two.

That is if there is a setback or two in their future.

Like a 5 minute discussion today.  WTF ever guys.

I just can't fathom how this narrative continues.  The guy is so ****ing average.  Watching Savage and Amos constantly being around the ball/receivers was just night and day.

No biggie. Just helps me figure out who to listen to and who to ignore. These no talent hacks head squarely into the ignore list.

Clinton Dick actually made a few tackles in the game. Nothing spectacular, but he was physical. Quite a change over the last few years.

give it a few weeks when the midol wears off, OLE will be back.

Had a nice strip fumble - while trailing the play of course.

I always enjoy reading the comments after a victory and I agree with a lot of the platitude's strewn on the defense and as a very old Packer fan I often flash back to other players in previous eras when things are going well- it still seems funny that Donald Driver is now a white stork, or that Craig Hentrich suddenly reappeared as a skinny blond guy .  Seriously it was a treat watching players who could cover and  when there is more athleticism on the field Blake Martinez looked soo good.  Ken Clarke was scary last night and I still laugh at the naysayers when he was drafted!  Of course Darnell Savage made me think of Nick Collins and even the guy many of us were not so happy was selected at 12 (R Gary) had a play that did not seem to draw any comment on game night but in the cut ups after the game he ran a stunt with the tackle and looped behind him and crashed down on Trubisky with frightening closing speed.   The ability of that young man is off the charts, just hope he can turn it into production.

I did not hear a single wizard in the booth give Preston Smith any kudos for doing his job and staying home and helping keep Scattergun Trubisky in the pocket!  Last the guy we all were sure was going to shine -Z Smith was scary last night.  I hope he can stay healthy, he is a violent football player who hits and I am quite sure those Bear RB's still have tub time scheduled from his hits!

Last I thought the offensive line played poorly - obviously The Bears contributed but it was clear in the run game the new concepts haven't gelled yet and much of the sucky play can be blamed on that.  I do think Jenkins will replace L Taylor by mid season simply because he is better suited to this type of play he is faster and more mobile and has better balance.  I saw Taylor get over powered often Monday not because he is not strong enough but not fast enough and at some point they will switch him out to get that left side running back on track!
