It wasn't cutting his 2 best friends that was the problem. They were always hurt and Cobb is hurt again this year. It was not replacing aging guys with decent players.
Other than Davante Adams, they've drafted one WR higher than the 5th round in the last 8 drafts and that was Ty Montgomery in the 3rd round a few years ago. They've tried to get by with late round picks (Abbrederis, Janis, Yancey, MVS, Dupre, Trevor Davis, ESB, Charles Johnson, Kevin Dorsey). None of those 8 have been even remotely promising except for MVS.
