this is a baaad team.

Yep.  I think there’s 10 or 11 really bad teams in the NFL this year and the Pack is part of that group to be sure.  Maybe the only good news is they play against a number of those bad teams and will at least have a fighting chance to win a few more games.

Tonight was a winnable game vs a bad team and they blew it.  Not a good sign for the near future.

The Raiders truly are awful.

Vegas has a terrible coaching staff that will likely get fired at the end of the year.

They have a bad QB, bad OL, a decent RB, and 1 great but dinged up WR.

On D, they have one legitimate star and a bunch of has beens and never will bes.

They played a "home" game that featured more fans for the opposing squad.

A squad that was coming off of a mini-bye and was more rested.

And yet they were clearly the better team tonight.

Just a sad reflection of where the Green Bay Packers are at.

There are going to be teams this year who play their worst game and still beat the Raiders. That’s how bad the Raiders are. Yet, we didn’t look like we belonged against them.

I’m not sure how anyone can put that on Love. 2 terrible drops on good throws and then he’s got a 6’4” WR against a 5’9” CB, that’s a ball that Watson needs to come down with 10/10 times and bully that practice squad CB. Sad. Give Love a true #1 WR and a legit veteran starting TE and I think we’re 4-1. Guys who know where TF they’re supposed to go and how to hold on to the ball. No QB is going to be perfect, he’s going to miss throws and throw INTs, Rodgers was an outlier with his INT avoidance. His completion % can be 52% with an 85 rating if he scores points and win games. He doesn’t have to have a polished stat line.

These young guys need to take their lumps, but we don’t need to tank just to get these guys their reps. Tee Higgins will likely be available at the trade deadline, probably others, other young players you can build a core with. Watson, Doubs, Musgrave, etc. are talented but they NEED mentors.

How can their third string DBs cover all of our ball catchers?

Because all of our WRs are practice squad level guys. Watson has the speed to be a difference maker, but he's probably at best the #3 type guy who is a deep threat to spread the field for a real #1 WR. He's MVS or Corey Bradford.

The other guys are just guys.

I do think Jaylin Reed has some potential to be a contributor but they didn't run one play for him tonight (WR screen, bubble screen, slant route). Nothing.

Disagree.

You can find guys like Doubs on practice squads.

Musgrave hasn't shown much other than that he can't track the ball in the air at all. His value is limited as well right now because he's a terrible blocker.

Watson is a MVS/Corey Bradford type. Track speed, but very green and may never get much better. We can hope he'll be a Donald Driver type and put professional WR routes and discipline with that athleticism, but I'm not holding my breath.

I don’t see Love ever being Mahomes, but I think he’s as good or better as a passer than Hurts. Hurts has a squad of dudes around him though and it makes a huge difference for a young starter. Love will be fine, Gute needs to surround him with real RB depth, WR depth who can compete and use their brain, and LaFleur needs to play to the strength of the supporting cast (dum dums) and not try to force them to be Davante Adams and Aaron Jones.

Love was not good tonight.   Late on that last pass

First and goal at the 3 also a failure.

Frankly, Love has been mostly bad in the past 3 games.  His strong 4th quarter vs the Saints was the only good football he’s played since Atlanta.

I don’t think it’s hopeless with Love, but these last 2 games have taken the shine off at least a pretty good start to his year.

I will say, he’s got a lot working against him with an extremely young supporting cast and missing Jones.  That said, he just needs to play way better than he has the past 2 weeks for us to feel like he’s a long term starter at QB for the Pack.
