I’ve always thought the offensive line was the beating heart of the Lombardi Packers.

The defense was great. The offensive skill players were great. But that offensive line made everything Lombardi wanted to do possible. He could pound the football all day, if he wanted to, and nobody could stop them because Forrest Gregg, Jerry Kramer, Jimmy Ringo,  Fuzzy Thurston et all were just better than everyone else on the field. The Packers sweep was run to perfection, and those guys could impose their will on anyone.
