That’s usually the case with our first rounders, rather have it be from development than to be waiting on a recurring injury from college
Here's one I came across talking about all of the 1st round OTs on the move
From the fine folks at ProFootballRumor

"Tackle-to-guard moves from college to the pros are certainly not uncommon, and Morgan moving inside would represent yet another transition involving a 2024 first-round tackle. Nine college tackles were chosen in this year’s first round. Of that group, most are changing positions. Joe Alt (Chargers) is sliding from left to right tackle, while JC Latham is moving from right to left tackle with the Titans. The Saints flipped Oregon State RT Taliese Fuaga to the blind side, while the Steelers are readying Washington LT Troy Fautanu for a Week 1 RT role. The Cowboys are shifting Oklahoma’s Tyler Guyton from right to left tackle. The Bucs are moving Barton from left tackle to center, though that was widely expected."
I'll grant that it is common for teams to draft players experienced at one position, but will have Tackles move to Guard, switch sides, etc., but I think in Morgan's case specifically, the Packers are trying to get his talent on the field. Since he may not be ready to replace Walker or Tom, inside is their only option.

Walker took the drafting of Morgan, personally
Walker might be the greatest 7th round pick since Tauscher/Driver. A starting LT in the 7th round??? Playing better than the 1st rounder??? Are you fucking kidding me???

That's the truth! If I recall correctly, more than one person here has mentioned the touch of nasty that Walker brought to the OL when he got on the field -- something definitely needed. I can easily see Walker taking the drafting of Morgan as a personal insult. It seems that Walker worked and fought hard to start for PSU, then worked doubly hard after getting drafted so late. He has a chip. When a person with that attitude works that hard to start, they aren't going to give it up very easily. Now if Walker could just imbue his drive and attitude to Rhyan...
I’d like to see him at RG to start the year. Let Ryhan and Meyers battle for C.
Maybe even Monk later in the szn.

I agree, although I'm not so certain there's a real battle going on. I think Myers is a lock to start at C.
Reminds me of Elgton on this play with his blocking...
I'm not a big "take a guard at 25 overall" guy, but you can see what it can be with Morgan if they stick with what they have to keep him inside. pic.twitter.com/K0ryzrOQdp

If he can get/stay healthy, I hope Morgan can push or replace Walker at some point.
If the Pack could work with a Walker-Morgan-Jenkins-Rhyan-Tom line, I wouldn't mind seeing Myers going to depth.
He had a nice whiff in the above clip.
