He can act like a bada$$ all he wants but he acted like a real puss. Sliding is not a puss move, sliding behind the line to avoid a sack is a MAJOR puss move. How many times did he do that, 3 or 4? I couldn't believe my eyes, even Mike Vick would attempt to gain a couple yards...who voluntarily takes a sack? Throw it away or try and make a move, but don't b1tch out. Yeah, he wasn't intimidated. I'll believe that when me sh1t turns purple and smells like rainbow sherbet.
I doubt he gets hurt, he's a puss, he will worm his way out of taking big hits. But he definitely will flex his big muscles and talk tough to the media. Or someone will cheap shot him and he'll cry like a baby. You know why people don't cheap shot Peyton Manning and Aaron Rodgers? Because they respect their opponents, they respect the guys on the opposing D and they get respect in return. That's something Tom Brady just said about Johnny Manziel and I think it applies also to Kaeperdick. He needs to grow up and be a professional because some guys like James Harrison will take the fine just so they get clean his clock.

This will not be the last time we play Colin Kaepernick this season.

I hope we don't have to play them again unless it's in GB. There is a reason many have them as the SB favorite. I do think we are close, but don't know if we can beat them there. BUT-it's early and the Pack needs to move on and  take care of business and see what happens later in the season....

There was some quality vet FA Safeties available this offseason. Pack passed on all of them. Draft/develop team and I'm in their corner with that approach, but I wish they'd dabble a bit in FA here or there for some stopgap options from time to time. Team is a SB contender, they can use a vet plug-in at certain spots

One thing is for sure, Burnett is now firmly entrenched as one of the top 5 most valuable players on the team. They lose him and yikes.

I am not sure what the hand wringing is all about, this was a tight game won by the home team- do you think that was unusual.  GB had two of is best players watching on the sidelines- hope to get the 9ers in GB in Jan.  BTW remember the opener in 12, Gore ran for 123 yards and SF owned the ball- score wasn't as close as it ended.

Take a look at the positives, Eddie Lacy is real- I didn't think much of him in college but that 31 yard swing pass shows the potential, the fumble was a crap play but the "Big Dog" will prove his worth.  Finley once again has a great play and then WTF on the pick.  Defending the read option on the road is darn near impossible, I am anxious to see N Perry next week against the Redskins.  For most of the game he appeared charged with holding the point and keeping Kapernick in the pocket.

The team on the field now will not be the team that plays in January and I suugest we just watch it grow.

Pack88

Regarding CK's comment, I completely agree with him.

If you want to intimidate an offense, then shut them down. That's always been my reaction to teams like the Bears or Lions or Vikings or Bucs (back with Sapp) who always talked big but more often than not, went home after getting abused by Favre and now Rodgers.

As much as I love the Pack and root like hell for them, the same principle holds true for them. You want respect on defense? It comes with shutting down opponents -- not dumb hits out of bounds or lots of chirping/pushing post plays. Allowing 500 yards of offense, 40 minute TOP, and 50% 3rd down conversions with 0 turnovers isn't intimidating anyone.

As far as the hand wringing...that is what it's about for me. Over 1,000 yards in two games to the 49ers. We can talk about Burnett and Hayward, but they were on the field last year and let's not forget SF was missing two of their top three WRs today. They basically had two weapons in the passing game -- Davis and Boldin and we couldn't stop either. So sure, let's celebrate the defense shutting down the run, but it doesn't do much good if you allow 400+ yards in the air and 200+ yards to Boldin. Same story, different song.

The saving grace is Rodgers -- as long as you have him, you've got a chance in just about any game. How many times have they been blown out since Rodgers was starting QB? 3? 4?

Know what you sound like? A fair weather fan.

We'll see you in January when the Packers piss pound these assholes in Lambaeu.

Exceptional my ass. Niners don't scare me. Not anymore.

Who said vastly superior? The only rematch will be in SF. I never said exceptional either. Keep cheering for the purple Mr. Clueless

I don't know whether or not the 49ers are a "better" team but I'll tell you this- the Packers still do not match up with them very well.  I think they've closed the gap a little bit but the Niners OL is still very good and the Justin Smith and Aldon Smith bookends are the best in the league.

Until GB can find a way to at least play those guys to a draw in the trenches the Niners will have the upper hand.

If we put ANY pressure on CK when he's back to pass, we win. Our front D did a great job against the run until very late in the game, but couldn't generate a pass rush for crap. It's all well and good and you can talk all you want when you can stand in the pocket and pick apart a secondary missing two top guys, but if he would have had someone in his face all day I think he would have kept his mouth shut.

Yes, they were the better team yesterday but I think MM (and hopefully Capers) goes back and rethinks this game and does a better job the next time they play.

It would also help to get the Niners coaches out of our headsets so we can call a better game...

If Green Bay would have won and 12 said that we'd be backslappin' until our hands hurt. And as far as sliding? Seems smart to me. Don't think the Niners want him going RGIII on the bit and get hurt.

I agree with this. I didn't think the game would be close in the trenches. If and when these two meet in the playoffs, I like the Packs chances much more now than at 3:24 yesterday.

Now let's play it out and get that game in Lambeau.

I have never seen a QB more averse to taking hits...This guy makes Jay Cutler look like Jack Lambert....you could see it last year and in fact his premature slide in the Super Bowl rather than getting a first down cost them....

Obviously there are pros and cons---his sliding and racing out of bounds will keep him healthy...but it is laughable that this big, tatted up, flat bill/beats wearing, taunting, trash talker is such a pussy..

San Fran is the best team in football...and Kapernick is incredible....but Green Bay,  on the road--playing with a rookie left tackle, 2 green safeties, making 10 unforgivable mistakes was still in the game as time expired....

San Fran was the best team in football last year and finished second...as they continue to finish as also rans---Kapernick's refusal to finish runs will become an issue and one of the things he is known for...no hate just fact....okay... I hate him
