I hate the fukking Cardinals.
Let's set the tone in this series to get ready for the likely 1 game death match that will come in a week.
No real starting pitcher available tonight. Dan Jennings will "start" and they will probably use a lot of arms from the bullpen.
Win or lose, they will really need Gonzales and Chacin to eat up some innings the next two games.
Win 2 of these 3 and we win the season series with the Cards and go up 3 games with 3 to play with the tie break - and clinch no worse than hosting the wild card game.
Dan Jennings getting the start is not what I had in mind for "setting the tone" for this series, but who knows, maybe it will be a move of brilliance. At least it's not Matt Albers.
Why donât they have a starter available?? Seems like an odd time to go to a BP start.
And, of course, Josh Hader gets lit up for the first time in a long time.
Cardinals are a half game away from missing post season play and their remaining 5 games are against the two winningest teams in the NL.
Hader stumbles and we win in St Louis!
Counsell made in game adjustments brilliantly. The first may have been the best. Starting Jennings was effective for several reasons. Sent a message to bullpen this is your game! Took away Peralta starting poorly by making it a relief appearance. Prevented Cards from getting a big start and building momentum early while quieting crowd.
A Card loss today would make Busch stadium a tough place to party in tomorrow unless your a Brewer fan.

We need to sweep the Cards and then have them sweep the Cubs.
Back to back bombs by Aguilar and Braun!!! Brewers get 2 in the 1st.
Ueck is in the booth with the TV guys.
Special.
Yelich.
Surreal zone he's in.
It's unbelievable that we have Yelich under contract for FOUR MORE YEARS at 12.5 million a year.
We may have the best player in baseball in Milwaukee and we got him for three position players who didn't hit above 245 at their respective levels this year and a pitcher in rookie league. The key guy in the deal was Brinson who is 24. Yelich is 26.

One of the nice things about moving back to the Midwest from the East Coast was being able to catch WTMJ across the lake. I can turn on the radio and Uecker doesn't sound any different from when I was pre-schooler listening to the Brewers.
Moosetookus!
Counsell's been great, but you really have to question pinch hitting for Woodruff after his one dominant inning. Especially to put Arcia up there. Knebel is clearly gassed and having trouble locating his breaking stuff.
Now Knebel has loaded the bases and the go ahead run comes to the plate. Was it really worth getting a 220 hitter in Arcia to hit instead of Woodruff in that situation?
Knebel leaves the bases loaded after pitching for the 4th time in nights. They dodged a bullet there
Big sigh.
This game seals it.
C'mon boys.
Who better than Ryan Braun to crush the Cardinal's dreams.
He'll get one thrown at his ear before the series is over for admiring his work on that HR.
Insanely good play by Arcia to get that 3rd out in the 8th. Just 3 outs to go.
That actually made me laugh that they walked Cain to get to Yelich. What the hell are the Cards thinking there? But Thanks!!!!
Well then. pic.twitter.com/giJ4g0ND10

I mean you intentionally walk Cain to pitch to the hottest guy in the league?
Red birds on the outside looking in.

Thatâs eye popping right there...
WTF was that? Choreography?
Almost as good as his 2 RBI Bunt Double, a few games back:
When did video games become so life like?

I was sweating bullets on that one as well but it's hard to question Counsell's decisions these days. We got some fun days ahead!
Being able to watch the Brewers on TV, when they are scheduled to be aired, is just as frustrating as trying to watch the Packers, here in western Wisconsin. The Brewers are supposed to be on ESPN at 6:00CST tonight, but they are not because the 15.5 games back, not getting to the post season, Twins play tonight and their game will be aired. This cable exclusivity s*** has to end. Nobody wants to watch the floundering Twins when the Brewers are playing to get into the post season and to get into 1st place, tonight, in the NL Central. Thank heaven for the Brewers Radio Network and Bob Uecker and friends! GO BREWERS!
Mr. Tundra, don't you get fox sports Wisconsin? I'm pretty darn close to Minnesota and still get it.

No we donât stiffler, we LIVE in Mn, just across the Mississippi River from La Crosse and we donât get Fox Sports Wisconsin. MN residents do not get fox sports Wisconsin.
Try the Fox Sports go app. It gets you FOX Sports, FS1, FS2,and the FOX Sports Regional Network. Although, where you live that may be Fox Sports Minnesota rather than Wisconsin.
Damn ....that pitch was NASTY!
Here we go.....bottom of the 9th.
Let's do this!!
Nice win.
F**k yeah!!
BOOM baby! Playoffs. Suck it Cards
