It's annoying when part of your pee hole is closed and you get two streams and have to decide which stream goes in the toilet.

You just give the little head a quick pinch and it all straitens out.

Great blast from the past.  We had one of those too.  I remember my friend and I trying to manipulate the tv to get the Playboy channel.  It came in, but the picture was unwatchable.  It'd come on really fuzzy one second, and then go all wavy the next.  Sure enough, we stayed glued just in case we could catch a glimpse.

If it came in fuzzy it was probably clear....

Couple things I don't like about the package after using it this weekend. You can have 4 games on the screen at once, however there's no way to choose which four. They have different streams with different combinations. That's really annoying.

The other thing I was wondering about was watching the game after it's over. At least for yesterdays games once the stream concludes the only thing I see up there are the 40 minute condensed versions. There should be at least a 24 hour window to watch the whole thing.

I just have the NFL package. Don't have youtube tv. In the NFL package the only thing available is condensed replays for yesterday's games. I'm guessing it's a rights deal and the NFL wants people to also purchase NFL+ to watch full game replays.

Ahhh....no DVR either. That sucks. They need unlimited Cloud DVR.

Other than All 22, WTF would I be paying for?

Still waiting for them to have Single Team packages. But they already know the answer on that one. Teams like the Steelers and Packers will lead the way. Teams like the Falcons & Vikings will have very few subscribers

All this talk of rotors and 10 foot dishes, now just a Roku stick is all you need. Amazing. I remember a bar on 27th street way south of Milwaukee that had a huge antenna tower that got Illinois stations. My dad would drive down there to watch some games. You'd see some houses with really tall antenna towers once in a while.  Stone age stuff now.

I wonder if there's much difference in how those sticks function.  I got the FireStick, and I'm a Prime member.  Not sure if that makes a difference.  But since my TV is too old to download updates to Amazon and Netflix, I got the FireStick.  What an amazing difference in how those two programs look updated.  Wow.  Even YouTube operates much better.

OK….  I drank a half bottle of Chuck Woodson whiskey today so I will share how I watch every sporting event.

It’s called IPTV.    You jailbreak a Chromecast or Firestick and then sideload a TV guide type app that categorizes all the streams.    You pay the pirates about 15 bucks in bitcoin a month and you get a login.

I get every fucking thing.,   All NHL, NCAA, MLB, NFL, and PPV MMA fights.  Plus, I get 6000 other local channels in the US.

If you don’t want to deal with bitcoin, try falcon tv.   Don’t expect immediate response, you’re dealing with tru pirates in India or China.

Are we going to read about you in the news one day?

Meh, I don’t even use a VPN.

I honestly highly recommend it.   You can easily take the Firestick or Chromecast with you to a Buddies house to watch the fight or game.   It’s the next big thing in piracy.   This gens Napster.

Charges are piling up. Who's that knocking on your door?

If the local authorities have the time and resources, I’d be shocked.   Have you looked around?  Petty theft ain’t no thang!

It seems old YTTV is having "issues" - they really don't want families logging in to the same account, it seems.

The three streams are not working. It's only allowing 2.

I've been using uzzu.tv for a few years now - same concept.   I pay about $120 a year - I don't get as many of the local channels as you list, but I get all NFL, NBA, MLB ,NHL, and all regional sports networks so I can get most any college game that I want.   I use their website if on my phone/tablet and have NetIPTV on my Samsung TV's.    No DVR feature so that blows a bit, but my Sunday afternoons have never been better!

I'm not savvy enough to do what you listed with Chromecast or Firestick!

Gee, anybody we know? lol

From si.com:

Packers Fans Among Most Likely to Watch Via Illegal Streams

Only one team's supporters are more likely to turn to an illegal stream to watch their team than Green Bay Packers fans, according to a new study.

GREEN BAY, Wis. – Sometimes, the Green Bay Packers are guilty of illegal procedure. Sometimes, their fans are guilty of illegal streaming.

A new survey by Oddspedia shows almost half of Packers fans have used illegal streaming services so they could watch their beloved Green and Gold play live.

According to the survey, nobody breaks the rules more often than Cincinnati Bengals fans at 51.6 percent. They are followed by:

Green Bay Packers, 47.7 percent

Buffalo Bills, 47.6 percent

Baltimore Ravens, 47.1 percent

Las Vegas Raiders, 41.2 percent

Indianapolis Colts, 40.3 percent

New England Patriots, 39.3 percent

New York Jets, 35.7 percent

Washington Commanders, 35.5 percent

New York Giants, 35.1 percent.

By state, Pennsylvania fans are guilty at a rate of 71.4 percent. Ranking fourth are Wisconsinites at 51.2 percent.

Given the national appeal of the Packers, and that sometimes games aren’t shown outside the Midwest, perhaps those results aren’t surprising….

San Francisco 49ers fans are the least likely to pirate games at just 13.8 percent. Fans of the downtrodden Chicago Bears (13.9 percent) are next, and the used-to-be-downtrodden Lions aren’t far behind (17.2 percent).

For legal streaming of games, YouTube has taken over NFL Sunday Ticket. FuboTV also streams games and all sorts of other programming.

According to the survey, 39 percent of fans “regularly watch their team’s games” via paid streaming services. Not far behind, 35 percent of fans watch via illegal streams. Those numbers far outpace cable (14 percent), antenna (8 percent) and satellite (4 percent).

Major sports leagues might be “losing up to $28 billion in … annual revenue” due to illegal streaming. Because of that enormous mountain of lost cash, the NFL was among leagues who have asked the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office to do more to shut down pirated broadcasts, FrontOfficeSports.com reported in August.

I do understand where sports leagues are coming from and losing a ton of money because of streaming.  But, when it is becoming too expensive for people this is what you get.

I still say they could get a some of that money back if they offered an option of pay per view for a single game or just offering an option to buy your team's games.  I like going out to see games (Where I live Packers games are not the norm) but if there are times where I would really like the option to do pay per view for a game and watch at home.

They won't do the single team because it will basically be Packers fans only.

I have a question....

If Pennsylvania is #1, 74.1% by state, why are we not seeing Steelers/Eagles illegal streams in the top 10? Is that mostly Penguins/Pirates fans??

Lotta Bills’ fans in Erie, PA and in the PA northern tier

I have a great IPTV that's been working for 3 years but they won't take new subscribers. $7 a month with a built in VPN.

On September 7 I could have invited one new subscriber in that 24 hour period but I didn't realize anyone was interested. And they are located in the states and doesn't require bitcoin.

I think the league is being very short-sighted when it comes to the streaming options they offer.
The first may be the price point(s). Assuming you could 'subscribe' to a specific team, I'd like to see it @ $10/game, but would consider up to $20 if there's enough flexibility built in. Anything over that makes the pirate streams look more attractive.
I don't want to buy a package for games I'm not very likely to watch. That's no different than cable TV, and the league should be much better than that.
I don't want to have to buy 17 games when there will be free ones on SNF, MNF, and even the Game of the Week features.
And I damn sure don't want to pay for games that have excessive lag, video/audio snafus, or other quality control issues. I can get that for free on the pirate streams!

I suppose a lot of this could be solved by making games available PPV, but I'm afraid the price would be $39.95-$49.99 (because they are greedy bastards).

Because Pennsylvania-based fans of the Steelers and Eagles are likely able to watch their teams over the air.

FYI....YTTV is now offering $215 off for new Subscribers that Bundle Sunday Ticket.

(Current subs get $100 off until May 16)

https://tv.youtube.com/learn/nflsundayticket/

Here's a referral code too which should make it $260 off total. It's good until May 16 for new Subscribers.

If you've been looking to make the jump to streaming, I promise you this is the best.

Local market stuff would still apply, wouldn't it? I feel for that Steelers' fan living in Seattle, in the article. How'd he feel about Packers' Fans, living in Wisconsin, unable to watch the Packers due to local market control by another team?
