No Packer stories but a fan since 65. Remember watching the first 2 Superb Owls on a B & W TV. Did meet some friends of Bart that went to the Ice Bowl when the Packers played in Buffalo during the Dickey Era.

Oh, true.
Hey Packiderm, I was in Green Bay for a weekend back when Bert Favruh was just brought to the Packers. I was in a bar called Knights on Main with my girlfriend at the time. Bert was behind the bar serving beers, and he served me one. Hardly anyone knew who he was at the time - most people, including me, thought he was a waste of a high draft pick. I also remember Tootie Robbins was there sitting next to Matt Brock. The two of them could have used two stools each.
Harry.
You are a wealth of interesting stories! Love it. Thanks for coming on board! Keep āem coming.
@Harry Manback posted:My grandfather was a tailor for the only big and tall store at the time in DePere. He naturally tailored for many of the Packers greats from back in the day. He was able to get Vince Lombardi to sign "Run to Daylight" which my dad has stored in his library. I don't want much to pass on to me from my dad, but I will fight tooth and nail for that autographed copy. I want to give it to my son someday, it will not be for sale in my lifetime.
I had a great uncle who worked under the former (lousy) director of player personnel, Tom Braatz.
I have a late uncle who was a statistician for the Packers for a number of years.
Those are my ties to the Packers. I'm new here, so some of you might find this interesting. I bleed green and gold, always will, even though I've been living in the Denver metro area since 1996. I was also born at St. Vincent's hospital.
Harry, welcome and love your story! Also appreciated your follow-on comments: "In case you're wondering, I've been through the 20 years of disappointment we had prior to our rise to power. No matter how bad we'd get pummeled, my dad and I watched every game together, giving me memories I'll cherish forever...minus the Packers getting pummeled, of course." Like so many here, I too lived through those years. And I would hope someday my son, when he looks back on all the games we've watched together, will feel as you do.
The stories so many of you have shared so far are just awesome! So glad I started this thread. Have enjoyed tremendously reading how we connect not only with the Packers, but to other Packer fans. Keep it coming!
Yes, great thread sschumer! It's helping me get to know more of you better, and I love the stories.
Well, I'd tread lightly there for sure...
Iāve been to Packer bars all over the western US. The only prob is I end up talking other ex pats, trading stories and memories so much that I miss much of the game. By the way I am in Redondo Beach Ca for a few days, last night this was driving in front of me on Hawthorne Blvd.
No needā¦.My daughter has Packer Cali plates and a BIG flag flying from her porch.

Both?

What the hell, Budweiser? It's "ya der hey" (if you use the "der" spelling which you shouldn't, because it means "there").
Pretty funny they screwed that up so bad. No one from NE Wisconsin on that research team. "Ya hey der" sheesh. Jeeze hey, wise up hey. Everyone fucking knows the "hey" always goes at the end. Dumb assholes I'm never watching their commercials again.
They probably did it on purpose because they're pissed Milwaukee is a Miller/Coors town and no one in Wisconsin drinks their Clydesdale piss.
