I'd rather watch WWE - At least Undertaker throwing Mankind off the top of the cage was entertaining

but that was a good form tackle to the mid-section. I'm OK with added protection to head, but Rodgers got hit far later on multiple occasions today. And Vikes look to hurt when they tackle, the seem to add a little extra.
I canโt imagine it was called for later hit, i think it was landing on him but i just donโt know how you tackle someone straight on without landing on them at some extent. I think we saw how this will play out in the future when we saw how Daniels had Cousins and didnโt finish it. Large strong QBs like Cam Newton are going to be hellish. To tackle if you canโt use momentum and it is ridiculous to ask a 250-350 pounder to change direction if their momentum when in mid flight
Referee Tony Corrente said Clay Matthews was penalized because "when he hit the quarterback he lifted him and drove him into the ground." It had nothing to do with the new rules protecting the QB, Corrente said in a pool report. Full pool report to come.
Watched the play a half dozen times and still believe it's a horrible call.
How the **** did he "lift" him when he was already going for his midsection after leaving his feet? **** that guy.
Tomorrow or Tues the NFL will admit it was a bad call

Tony should maybe stop talking for a while. Heโs making himself look worse.
Clay even extended his arm to prevent all his weight from coming down on Cousins.
Everything about the NFL is bull****.
Ok, just rewatched it and Cousins was in the air (both feet off the ground) when Clay hit him, so how can you lift someone who is already airborne?
Reading the game thread in Rube Shat. The way they we're whining about the refs you know they were really bad.
What it comes down to is the refs took 14 off the board for GB and handed the Queens 7. NFL got their drama though, Iโm sure theyโre foaming at the mouth to hype the rematch in November.
I guess what needs to happen is when you see a teammate tackle the QB get there and hold him up so he can't land on the QB.
Just put flags on the QB & start playing flag football. It's quite obvious tackling a QB in any fashion is no longer allowed

Horrible, horrible call. Clay not only hit him perfectly with the rugby tackle and head to the side, but the bulk of his weight is definitely not directly on top of Cousins. It is to Cousins' right side; the evidence is clear as Clay's head is to the left and only his right shoulder is buried in Cousins' torso. Also, Clay reaches down with his arm to help break the fall. That tackle could be used to show exactly how a QB should be tackled. It was not late, etc. Last week Clay deserved that RTP call. Today's call was a heaping pile of horse crap. It's so discouraging to watch such inconsistent incompetence.
F*CK ties.
I don't even wear the sunsabiches.
Yes, the refs sucked for both teams. I'm more pissed about the tie. Let 'em play til there's a winner.
Packers D is better. D-line is tough to handle.
Our D did a good job collapsing around Cousins, but they just couldn't get home. Two sacks against that horrible Oline... ouch. And then Cousins had the hot hand in the fourth, which is something I think our young secondary needs to learn from. Keep the pedal to the metal, keep going until the fat lady sings, blah, blah, blah. I think next time they'll be better.
Even HOF QBs make mistakes.
โI checked to a run away and I was pulling it. It was an RPO (run-pass option),โ Rodgers said. โIโm disappointed about my last two plays. Jamaal didnโt know I was pulling it. He was trying to grab for it a little bit. But if Iโd just been a little stronger pulling it, both the end and Harrison (Smith) were flying over the top, Iโm definitely getting a first down and weโre inside 50-yard field goal range. So thatโs disappointing.โ
The frustrating thing is I know Rodgers could call plays and run the offense on his own, but there have been some glaring bad checks heโs made the last two games. He has to be smarter and gamble less.
The Xfl is getting going again in 2020. It should be huge this time around
No the refs were not bad on both teams
the Rodgers roughing was weak so thereโs your one call
The Matthews roughing was a joke. Game was over with the pick
The Graham Non PI call was a joke
The Adams Non Pi call in the EZ under 2 minutes was a joke
The hold that wiped out a GB touchdown was bad
And one that wasnโt mentioned was the kickoff return after GB went up 8. The Minnesota returner never kneeled and tossed the ball to the ref should have been live ball and safety
Yeah, I guess the calls evened out LMFAO
Don't quite know what Rogers was thinking even considering running. He's got a big brace on, isn't fully healthy, and one misstep or hit, clean or otherwise, ends the whole team's season. Let the guys designed to carry the ball and used to taking a pounding, do it. It's all fine and dandy to be a hero, but a) you're not at your best, b) you're not 22 or even 32 any more, c) it's early in the season and you need to live to fight another day. There's competitiveness and there's hubris.

Damn replacement officials
Either Rodgers is the toughest SOB on the planet or heโs not as hurt as is leading on. I was shocked how well he was moving around. Quite honestly, Minnesota didnโt really stop him. He might be better not trying to improvise and scramble. If the OL holds their own heโs still the best.
After Corrente gave his long winded BS answer on Clay (his answer made everything worse) he confirmed the Viking returner was never down.
Plenty chatter that GB benefited from a BS roughing penalty on Rodgers as well. Which is true. It was a bad call. But Minny was also offsides on the play. So, everyone can STFU with that nonsense whataboutโism argument.
Overall. Today was a horrible day in general for the stripes. Bad calls everywhere.
The calls that went against Minny didnโt decide the game though. I can live with the bogus holding call on Lane Taylor because the team should be able to overcome that. The call on Clay 1) wiped away a game winning INT 2) shifted the momentum in a major way 3) put Minny in a more manageable down and distance with plenty of time on the clock to do something. It was a back breaker that should never have happened. Our D was gassed and finally got a stop, that was just crushing and gave Minny the momentum. I donโt like to complain about the refs and their calls shouldnโt decide the game, but every once in a while thereโs a blown call that decides the game (see Fail Mary, Tuck Rule, etc.).
Lifted and drove. Lifted and drove. His arm is extended bracing for the fall. Please.
NBC studio already circuling and protecting the shield already with the it was the correct call crap.
bad weekend in general for refs of all levels. my brother in law is head coach for small college in Iowa. In his game yesterday opponents get a first down on the 1 so first and goal. They call a taunt on the WR that caught the ball. Marked off the 15 yard but Iinstead of 1st and goal they gave them first and ten. He was pleading for an explanation...Coach they got a first down they get 4 fresh down. Heโs like yes to go the 16 yards.
I actually got into it with an idot MN fan in our area. He was defending the Sendejo 34 cheap shot on Adams and I said he canโt cover anyone so might as well cheap shot. Which it clearly was.
Later on the Clay hit he wheels around and says โsee just like our penalty on 34โ to which I replied only when there is a game changing pick involved. For our team. Sendejo got beat so get cheap. God Vikings fans are knobs.
Bad weekend in general for WI teams
Badgers WTF
Brewers lose 2 of 3 to the almighty Pirates
Packers get screwed by the refs and โtieโ Minnesoduh
The tie was the bright spot. the Cubs are helping but sooner or later the Brewers need to make a big run. time is running out
Itโs no bright spot. The CMIII penalty opened the door. Bull**** call. That was game over and Packers 2-0.
it won't show in the record but I know the GBP beat the queens yesterday.
what a ****ing joke. at least the queens spent their highest draft pick ever on a kicker that fits their org to a tee.
sucks that this is applicable yet again:

I don't think PP meant a bright spot like finding a finding something bright and shiny when panning for gold or stumbling upon a $20 bill in an old pair of jeans. I think he meant finding kernel of corn in you know what.
