He had 39 yards the first half, at one point 19 carries for 69 yards in the 4th qrt, that's what I call shutting him down, compared to what Adrian normally gets.

ESPN announcers just said it wasn't as close as the score indicated. 239 yards and 17 points at the half for GB. The last quarter and a half they had the offense of low gear.

Woodson was a factor, as everyone hoped. 49ners are a different beast, but it should be fun.

Vikes had a nice year and with a WR and LB added next year, I expect them back near the playoff bubble. You have to love a player like AP, he's a rare player.
And the Vikings rubes are all on the Peterson for MVP train right now yet can't come up with a good argument why.

"Second most rushing yards in history". So? Chris Johnson didn't win it, neither did Dickerson when he became #1.

"He took a 3-win team to the playoffs" Andrew Luck, as a rookie, took a 2-win team just as far.

Peterson's lucky these simps aren't the ones making his case.
I don't think year-to-year performance should have any baring on the MVP vote for a given season. If Mark Sanchez proves to be the best player in football next year, he gets the MVP.

The arguments I least like but seem to be thrown around the most are Peyton's and Peterson's success after overcoming injury. That's what the Comeback award is for. As amazing as both comebacks are, not a thing they did on the field this year was more important to his team's success than any other player's based on the past injury.

I don't really have a problem with either guy getting it, and that's a good thing since it seems inevitable. From what I've watched this year, I'd have a hard time saying I watched a better football player than Adrian Peterson.
But did Peterson even outplay every other back by that much? Look at his line (pretty good with Kalil, Loadholt and Sullivan as anchors and Fusco and Johnson are solid run blockers) vs. Lynch's (They have Breno starting at RT even). Foster has never had that top gear Peterson has but is extremely tough and productive while getting to the endzone more often than Peterson. CJ Spiller had teh same YPC as Peterson, but they kept him fresh with Jackson (when healthy). It's a remarkable story with the comeback but just how much difference is their amonsgt the elite players?
In order, Andre Johnson, Matt Schaub, Russell Wilson, Owen Daniels, Sidney Rice, Golden Tate, Russell Okung.

AP has Christian Ponder and a moody pothead. Seattle and Houston have other threats a D has to pay attention to. Spiller would break apart into small pieces if he was asked to carry the ball 350 times.

Lynch and Foster are very good. But AP outplayed both of them.
