and lets not forget his hatred of educatoin. College is for stupid people and frat boys and public education serves only to keep fish sticks out of the the rambling son's mouth. The fact that al is here for astute comentary on education should surprise no one.

NYC Department of Education said it has raised high school graduation rates by 40 percent over the last seven years.
And 80% of them can't read.
This is why they despise standardized tests. Pathetic.
80% can't read. That is significant. I dove right into the article.
Nearly 80 percent of New York City high school graduates need to relearn basic skills before they can enter the City University’s community college system.
Well, that sucks. Horrible news in fact. But not sure how "not ready for college" = "can't read." I, using my third grade reading skills couldn't find "can't read" anywhere.
I did find the article fascinating.
Nicholas Gonzalez, a graduate of New Utrecht High School in Brooklyn, participated in the CUNY Start program. He said he would never had been able to face college credit classes without it.
“I was nervus about how hard it was going to be, how much of a chnage it was going to be from high school,” Gonzalez said.
i'm getting nervus two.
In fact, the entire source is nearly impossible to read. The old media would give a hearty guffaw.
I'm also confused who hates standardized tests. It seems hating standardized tests is kinda like hating the commies. It is fashionable to hate them, but no one really knows why. But who hates them? Riters who ca'nt spell? Kids who aren't college ready (college is stupid also, don't forget that frat boy), teachers? New Yorkers? A screw it, we all hate it and stop trying to feed us less that 9,000 calorie meals.
