We live in a nation where all you have to do is show up and you graduate from high school. We live in a land where college is paid for by grants and loans, with the bill footed by the taxpayers. There is also a GI Bill which covers your tuition is you serve for four years.
I'm not entirely sure Al knows how college works or how grants work or loans work.

If only Al would have been blogging before I went to college or grad school. I had no idea that the taxpayers would pay my way. I had no idea that I had to pay my own way, that I had to work while in school and during summers, that I had to pay back student loans.
